We are all true Dolphin fans (save a few friendly visitors from other teams) and now is the time to stop bickering about some elementary aspects and just come together on the core point that its time to MOVE ON from Philbin.
He's had his chance to make it as an NFL HC and it's obvious the experiment has failed. The bigger question at this point is if Ross has the capacity to make some positive moves RIGHT AWAY and not flush the balance of the season down the toilet.
Personally, I have very little regard for Ross, and can only hope he somehow finds the insight to make some positive decisions to move this team in the right direction. Chances are the players will respond very positively to a decisive show of leadership -- starting with the immediate dismissal of Philbin. After that, it would seem the only coach on the staff worthy of an interim position is Lazor -- though his stock seems to be sinking pretty fast. But promoting Lazor followed by firing Coyle would at least wipe the slate partially clean -- preparing the way for a complete revision after the season.
Anyway, there's nothing left to do other than immediately take some steps in the right direction.
For most of us the verdict was in quite some time ago -- but now we can all see continuing "as things are" is NOT an option.
Here's to better days ahead!
