Very disappointing

Doubtful. Before the season even began I expected the defense to be behind the offense. I expect that every year. It's one reason I predicted that this team would win five games last season. Lockout really hurt our defense last season.

Watch first. Then we will talk. :)

Spot on. I can't believe vontae looks so bad. I expect if from Sean "lock" smith, but Vontae? Wooooooooow. Tannehill really impressed me though.

Pre-season games are for evaluating individual players, not wins/losses. I believe that's essentially what's going on right now. It's been going on for years.

Right now Dr. WV pretty much has the entire situation nailed down until further notice. I believe he's on the right track regarding just about all these guys on an individual basis, and has been from the beginning.

Most of it should've been fairly easy to figure out from the start.

I only just watched a few highlights on nfl.com. What in the hell was Jimmy Wilson doing on the 44 yarder to Underwood? That's a taylor-made pick and not only do you not catch it you let the reciever do so. That was garbage.

Tannehill looked real good from the highlights. Release is quicker than I thought.

I liked what I saw out of some of the kids. We all have to remember that it is the first game with 90 players on it. They haven't had a lot of time playing probably with the same players as the coaching staff is seeing who plays well with who and in what situations. Look for improvements in the 2nd game.

Jiimmy's mistake was letting the ball come down to them rather than going up and taking it away. Smith's tackling on D needs some serious work also.

I know what the mistake was. And that's a mistake that bothers me. That shouldn't be a mistake you make at any db position so the transition from cb to safety shouldn't matter. there Show some instincts son and finish off a taylor-made pick for ya.

I'm not worried about the defense. The usually suck horribly in the preseason. Then they suck pretty horrible in the regular season. Except for Dansby and Wake, they just plain out suck, so I stopped worrying about it and just accept it.

The offense didn't look too impressive tonight, and even Tannehill was very sloppy except for one drive. Moore didn't have that drive, but the playcalling looked like an improvised flag football type deal with him in there, where everyone ran out five yards and tried to get open there. Not too much to be done there, and Tannehill was the only one given a chance to make plays downfield.

First time I saw RT live, and was impressed with his throws, reads, and athletic ability The test will come when he has to face D's blitzing, and mixing up coverage schemes to confuse him at light speed.

That will tell the tale of Tannehill. .

JCane has always been the voice of reason lol. It's just that sometimes people don't like the reasoning that I bring despite how true it might be.

I love this team more than I love most of my family members. But I've never been the kind of fan to sip Kool-Aid and lie to myself about how good this team is. I seriously didn't watch one second of the game. Woke up at 9:00PM because I'm having to work a rare Friday night. But from just GLANCING...not actually reading...just GLANCING...I can already sense that FinHeaven is in full tire fire mode already. Too many overreactions about one preseason game. And I'm a guy who will eventually sit down and watch all of these preseason games at least three times. Wait until at least the third preseason game before making crazy assumptions about the team.

Same **** different year on this site. It's just how the game is played on FH

Sean Smith should be nicknamed girl scout. He doesn't know how to tackle or hit anyone. He's a soft as fricken cotton. Plays like a scared little girl. Same crap every year from him. All talk and no action. He may as well have a purse and wear high heels while on the field.

We have to remind ourselves it's pre-season. Most teams don't even game plan for the games in pre-season. Just ask the Lions who went 4-0 in pre-season and 0-16 in the regular season.

I agree with WV , even though there was no game plan, moore and tanny got bumped up to #1 and 2 , They weren't used to playing those squads like garrard was. i Think both qb's did well being pushed into those situations week 1. I'm glad garrard is gone and we can stop focusing on the unrealistic hopes that he was ever going to be any iota of the few flashes he ever showed in the nfl. Now, tanny can get the reps he needs and if for some reason he passes up moore , so be it.

SMH. I don't even recognize you posting anymore with that new avatar lol.

I do approve, though.

Though I can't see who it is, do to the fact that I'm on my phone, I too agree that is odd to not see The Dude as Phinz avatar.

Forgive my spelling. This was sent from my phone.

It is funny how people are panicking from THE FIRST PRESEASON GAME!!! I mean I under stand the defense looked really bad but you have to understand that it is somewhat of a young defense. The leadership is gone and new leaders need to be found and step it up. The offense in my opinion looked pretty good. Reggie looked good, pass protection looked decent, and also I have never seen us pick up first downs so easily. Aside Johnson dropping that ball we probably would of scored on that opening position. Chad did look really nervous on the sidelines. The only thing I was really upset with was our run blocking. It was horrible. That needs to be our biggest improvement next game as well as making the plays on third down and in the redzone.

Aside all that I was extremely impressed with tannehill and charles clay. If wallace catches that ball in the endzone, tannehill scores two touchdowns in two series. That is something to look forward to. Don't look to much into the bad. There was a lot of good IMO.
