Will our squad find themselves (if the rooks gel early with the vets) undefeated by the bye?

@ Redskins (week one)
@ Jaguars (week two)
home: Bills (week three)
@ London: Jets (week four)

It's very possible. I expect to beat the Redskins and Jags. Bills/Jets will be battles.

2-2 at worst i think.

I'm hoping 4-0, but 3-1 seems more realistic, and 2-2 would just be disappointing.

We better be at least 3-1 or the seat under Philbin's ass is gonna start getting really warm.

4-0, with the team going 6-6 the rest of the way to a 10-6 season.

You start 0 fer 2 in the division you have dug yourself a big hole...cant do it

Not to mention two home division games...screw that...team needs to come out with urgency...last 10 is murderers row

in all honestly they could be in trouble if they dont start either 4-0 or 3-1. Skins and Jags you need to win because you cant lose to teams that arent expected to be good. the other two are two home division games meaning if they lose the division games the rest of the year are critical and makes winning the division so much harder

Starting 4-0 would be a big help, and it's more than possible

For us to have a chance at a good season, we need to go 6-1 in our first seven, so we need to be 4-0 by the bye. Do we do that? Division games are tough, road games are tough, and we only have 1 game in Miami in those first four ...so probably not.

Yes....I actually think it will happen....in fact I think we could be undefeated going into New England.

I think they could easily go 4-0 or 1-3...

Much of it will depend on how quickly a lot of these new pieces start to gel...3 of the 4 main receiving targets will be new players, you have a LT coming off injury, still unclear of the guard position. On defense we still don't know how the LB core will shake out and one of the boundary and slot corners. Granted the team is more talented, but it is going to be interesting to see how quickly all that individual talent comes together.

I think its going to be a real challenge early on unless we have a great training camp...
I believe RT struggled early last year getting in the groove of a new offense...

I think he will have similar growth pains with the new group of receivers coming in and not only learning the system but also the timing needed with RT..
Hope I'm dead wrong about this but we really need a strong camp this year if there are growing pains we may struggle early and connect late and the back half of our schedule is brutal on paper...a 2-2 split, at best, may be realistic

Everyone is always so optimistic before the season... Our OL is still mediocre and our LB crew will probably bottom 5 in NFL. We have zero depth at every position except on the DL - what happens when injuries start to hit (they always do)?

Our early schedule is relatively soft but we're not an elite team, either.

We start 3-1. The bills game is close and the London game is a blowout.
