I was just reading King's "Monday Morning Quarterback" column and found a very interesting tid-bit on there. He goes through the usual paces pointing out the best (Yes, Ricky's was right up there, #4 I believe) but then he had this to say:
1. I think the craziest stat/story in football right now is this: Miami imported Ricky Williams to make itself better than it was the past couple of years, and this was already a good team. The Dolphins were the only team to win 11 games in 2000 and 2001. They lost five games apiece in 2000 and 2001. They've already lost five in 2002 -- in spite of the fact that Williams has succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. In 12 games, Williams has already broken the Dolphins' single-season rushing record. What more can the guy do? Not much. Which goes to show you how valuable Jay Fiedler has become to this team.

Considering the amount of flack that Miami fans have given Jay Fiedler over the past couple of years, we now have the opportunity to see what a great- and yes I used the word "great"- QB we have in Jay. The reason I describe him as such is because there is not another QB- other than perhaps Rich Gannon- who is as stone faced, has as much heart, and is willing to battle through any kind of deficit to bring this team back. I look forward to Jay coming back this week about as much as I did seeing Ricky on the field for the first time. :)

P.S. If you want to read the whole article here's the link:

Want to know why we're 7-5 and NOT 9-3?

From MCNBC.COM:

Notes: Lucas lost two fumbles against the Bills. In two starts against Buffalo this season, Lucas has gone 19-of-44 for 205 yards, four interceptions and four lost fumbles.

Enough said!

It figures that Jay lights the Bills up like no other team and he had to be out BOTH times we played them........who do you gotta blow around here..........?????

Maybe it's just Lucas that's Jinxed against the Bills and thus his Jinx rubs off on the whole team. How else do you explain a friggin blizzard blowing in at the exact moment the 'Fins are attempting to mount a comeback drive?

Just think if we would've had Lamar Smith this year! We'd be 5-7 if we were lucky. Bye Bye playoffs.

Guys while you wipe your mouth from Jay, don't forget he played the entire second half and diddily-poo ( thanks Jim Mora for letting me use that phrase).

How about our own Bledsoe who, earlier this season, had his neck sliced, then had the trainers put a staple in it so he could finish the game? That's heart!

Given his chance Sunday, he really lit up the Bills. That duck he shot out of the sky for Nate Clements was a beauty.

Yeah boy you make a great point...

... not! Maybe you missed it when the weather started to get even worse than earlier in the game? All I know is when Jay came in were losing and after two drives with Jay we were winning. What happened after that had nothing to do with Jay Fiedler, it had to do with bad luck with our secondary.

Those were definitely optimum conditions to make your comeback from injury. Jeff, most of your post I can agree with, but to take the shot at Fiedler was just classless and clueless.

If he wasn't ready to play, they should've put in Sage when Lucas went down.

Robert Edward would long ago have been our starter over Lamar.

Seems to me that our D thrives on time of possession. If we can avoid TOs and having no running game, our D can play great for 25-30 minutes. Once you start getting over them on the field for over 30 minutes, they are trouble.

I have one thing to say to the Buffalo fans. 8-8. You will be LUCKY to make 8-8 this year with that run defense of yours.

See ya next year.

I have 2 things to say:

1. Sweep
2. Dolphins in December

Yup, and all this winning will just put them lower in the draft. Oh well, maybe you can get a decent run stuffer at #19 or so.
