I think it's possible that Miami ignores the D - like in this draft - but I'd be against it.

Out of one of the better drafts of the last 10 years, you come away with two solid O-linemen and a solid RB in the first three RD's. I think you can get one of Cameron Flemming, Billy Turner, or Ja'Wuan James in the 3rd RD. That's where I'd look for a RT. I don't see a lot of separation between the OT's we'll see at 19 and the guys we'll see at 81.

I doubt Mason makes it to 81. And i would like Murray but i dont think this is the year we go for a long term backup QB. With 3 guys on the roster already i dont see it happening unless its a UDRFA that we can send to the practice squad. Only other thing is i wouldn't hat Jones at DT but i think we may be set at DT.

I like the first 2 picks and the last 2 picks.

I'm not Dennis Hickey. This isn't exactly how I would draft but a prediction of how I think Hickey will. I think Zack Martin is a future all pro guard, so I don't see him as solid. Also I see Ja'Wuan James as a potential top 10 RT under Benton. I would take Shazier if Miami would have been able to land another starting lineman in free agency. Fleming is not a fit in the ZBS. I see Turner of a fit at guard and he is nowhere near ready to be a starter. I would have signed 4 starters the OL in free agency and draft Shazier and Moncrief with the first 2 picks. But Miami needs another guard and right tackle desperately. Martin and James are perfect fits for this offense and are plug and play guys. High character and 101 starts between them at big schools. I'll take that in a heartbeat over a D2 guard.

Love the draft. Odrick is going to start though.

On Nickel no doubt about it. But I think they gave Earl Mitchell 4 million per year to start on early downs at 1 technique. He does have some pass rush ability and can rotate in on nickel as well. But I think similar to the past 2 seasons, we will see Starks start at 3 tech in base, and kick down to 1 technique on nickel and Odrick plays the 3.

I like the draft mostly. Not sure we don't go lb over rb though. Wheeler I really doubt will be starting. I'd rather have Dion Jordan at slb just because I don't like wheeler. Maybe wheeler will be better this year, but he definitely seems like a bust. He ca get to the QB well, that's about it. He never seems to get any tackles from head on, always seems to be chasing the guy.

I agree Wheeler is terrible. I just based that off the article in the Herald about them moving Misi to mike, Ellerbe to will, and Wheeler to sam. I just don't think there will be any LB's worth it at #81

The thing I really like about Martin and James they are both team captains, and started a combined 101 games at big time schools. Not much of a projection there, they are plug and play guys that Miami desperately needs. Zack Martin is my favorite player in this draft, but if he is gone, I would take Xavier Su'a Filo from UCLA at #19. I think he's a pro bowl guard, and a starter for a decade, he just isn't on Martin's level.

You drafted 3 positions that we probably won't even look at on draft day and the running back was drafted too high....

Drafting XSF at 19 is too high. Hopefully, the Browns take Mack, Barr, or Watkins then a QB (Bridgewater or Carr) falls and Cleveland gets anxious and wants to move up.

Or, the Niners falls in love with Beckham or Cooks and want to move up.

I'd be ok with this draft. Good solid picks with good value. I'm still hoping that a team in the mid 20's will want to trade up so we can gain an extra 2nd or 3rd.

Perfect Scenario:

Trade down to mid 20's
1st Rd: Xavier Sua' Filo (G UCLA)
2nd Rd: Austin Sefarian Jenkins (TE Washington)
*3rd Rd: Jeremy Hill (RB LSU)
3rd Rd: Micheal Schoefield (RT Michigan)
4th Rd: Shayne Skov (ILB Stanford)
5th Rd: Brandon Coleman ( WR Rutgers)
6th Rd: David Fales (QB San Jose St)
7th Rd: Deanthony Thomas (RB/KR/PR Oregon)
