As I was watching us win yesterday at the end, I couldn't help but think I've seen this type of game before. Then it hit me - it's very much like how the Patriots have been squeeking out important games over the past few years (including yesterday over Pittsburgh). The Patriots are good - really good - but what makes them elite is their uncanny ability to just plain win the big games no matter what. At some point, someone makes a big play to set up the win.

When Schulters made that pick yesterday, taking advantage of a Saban-designed blitz, it was the big play that gave us the opportunity to win. And this win may make the difference between the playoffs and no playoffs, a playoff bye week, or no playoff bye week, home field advantage, or no homefield advantage. Let's hope for more "Patriot-like" results in the future.

Damn, this was excatly what I was thinking....I was even thinking, "let the opposing fans, start calling us "lucky" as well"....as long as we keep winning, and as much as I hate being compared to a team I hate, i must say i'll take anything that gives us wins.

Probably everything except the penalties. Just a buch of guys playing to their talent level and doing it as a team. Just need to eliminate all the extra penalties

I'd like to see us start hitting the longballs on offense too. That's the difference between every game being a nail-biter and having some blowouts to our credit.

I just wanna comment on something about that game. Randl El should be freakin benched for trying to lateral like that inside the 10. ****ing moron. Ultimately probably cost them the game.

This wasn't very Patriot like to me. The Patriots don't make or get called for this many penalties... They know their limits better than we do when it comes to what they can and can't get away with.

Finding a way to win was Patriot like. Just about killing ourselves with penalties was not.

I actually think the Patriots have been getting called for lots of penalties so far this season.

Sure, we have a ways to go to be totally "Patriot-like." I'm just trying to draw some legit similarities where - I think at least - they exist.

It was gritty performance... Partiot-like... perhaps...similar for sure... penalties are the biggest difference... but the way the overcame the adversity they cause was the same...

I like to think we're winning Dolphin~like... or Saban~like...
lets keep N.E. in N.E. and we'll forge our new identity down here!

Deal. Kinda the same thing, Dolphin-like and Saban-like! Either way sounds fine to me.
