Draft goes like this

1) Jake Long OT

2) Brian Brohm QB I would consider Brohm being there a miracle by far would be BPA) or Dan Conner (another slight miracle but I think possible)

2b) Antoine Cason or Tracy Porter (either one they both
would start for us)

3) Chris Eillis DE ( Would start in a year)

4) John Carlson TE or Martin Rucker TE (deep TE class this year and hopefully one of these guys are here with this pick)
6) Darius Reynaud WR

7) Ben Moffit LB

Also i would hate to see JT go but he has given us a ton of great years. He deserves a shot at a superbowl. I think it would be great for both parties if we could get a 2nd and a 4th for him and him get a shot at a SB.

I think bill and co. could work with those two picks.

perfect draft:

1) Jake Long
2A) Brian Brohm
2B) Antione Cason or Tracy Porter (whichever is there)
3) Chris Ellis
4) John Carlson or Martin Rucker (in that order if both there)
6) Darius Reynaud
7) Ben Moffit

I actually think they could all make the final roster...

i think primarily McCown was brought in to be Becks "competition" so drafting Brohm would be a waste of a high pick i would go chris long(if we cant move down) because i love Gholston and then with the 2a we get a tackle...2b we get a CB and 3 we get a WR ad 4 we get a QB

I agree that McCown was a fairly solid addition. He has a lot of ability. I just don't think we can pass on Brohm if somehow he is there in the 2nd. I just saw about 5 mins ago that Foxsports.com has us trading up with Dallas for their 22nd to take him. I don't think I would do that b/c this is such a deep all around draft.

i think our defense is fine the way it is. the ONLY way i would draft chris long 1st...is if we actualy trade away taylor. our LBs are great. porter, crowder, (long or taylor) torbor..ect (depth)

I would have to take jake long #1
#2a get a very good corner.

i would like to see us get manningham (if available) in a later round.

in fact. both picks in the 2nd round should be corners

Yeah, I think you are more on point here with how it will go. OLB, CB, and OT will be addressed in the first three picks. There are so many possibilities tho. you just can't even mock it for team...it's just a waste of time.

think about it...WE KNOW Parcells wants to trade down if possible, It seems very likely that Atlanta will be in a position to need to move up. (i brought this up in another post - the whole scenario, and WHY it might play out that Atlanta is in a position where they almost HAVE to). Anyways what does that trade net us?? Well either DeAngelo Hall I would imagine or Atlanta's second rounder this year.

That allows us to address OLB at number 3, also gives us a little ammo to move around and target some guys we like.... if we end up with Hall..then look for OT, WR, OG, S to be among the next ones filled...with OT being the key.

Anyway you cut it, we already are going to have at least 9 picks it seems (perhaps 10 based on compensatory picks)

we should have 1,2,2,3,4,6,6,7,7 already...the trade with atlanta could net us perhaps two more picks maybe a 2,4 which gives us basically 7 picks by the BEGINNING of the 4th round.

we are gonna move around in this draft...don't look for us to stay put... makes the mocks useless...

Jake Long at 1 is such a waste.

T is the deepest position in the Draft bar NONE, why on earth would a team with as many wholes as the Dolphins use the 1st pick on a tackle that is NOT an elite prospect when we could get one in round 2. Makes zero sense, I would hate Jake Long coming here.

Well, many think that J Long IS an elite prospect. I'm fine going another way, but currently we have 1 starting OT on the roster. If we pass on J Long at #1, we are FORCED to find another starter in the draft. We better hope there is not a run on them.
