That's two potential Veteran Wr's off the market. I REALLY hope the plan isn't to go into the season with What we have now and a Rookie Draft pick. If so, that's a bad plan. IF Clay comes back, It may work. If not.... I'm not so sure.

That leaves
Crabtree and Jennings and the other two WR with experience that has shown the ability to play in this league. We absolutely MUST sign one of the two if Clay doesn't return.

Possibly Jennings. But I wouldn't be surprised if our next WR comes from the draft in the first round. Landry is mature beyond his years and seems to be on board with the system. Stills says he's very close to Landry so I'm happy letting Landry be the heart of our WR core, AS LONG AS we DO whatever it takes to get one of the top 3 WR in the first round.

Reggie Wayne perhaps?

The thing is do you want a vet to be a progress stopper to any rookies being drafted?

Not sure we need a vet. Landry leads and plays like a vet

If we draft one of the top 3 WRs, there is no need for a bench-warming veteran.

- WR: Kenny Stills, (Amari Cooper / Kevin White / DeVante Parker), Jarvis Landry (slot), Rishard Matthews, Matt Hazel

- TE: Jordan Cameron, (Charles Clay?), Dion Sims

- RB: Lamar Miller, Damien Williams

In fact, with the above offensive weapons, along with OG Evan Mathis, I'd say we'd have the best Miami offense since the Marino years.

Per sources Stevie Johnson has left New England WITHOUT signing. #Patriots

You think a veteran like Mike Wallace provides better leadership than a young WR like Jarvis Landry?

Exactly. With his work-ethic and attitude, Landry can be the positional leader. Meanwhile, Tannehill needs to be the on-field leader that these guys "follow" and believe in. They don't need some "been there done that" vet sewing the seeds of discontent in an attempt to surreptitiously avoid his own obsolescence.

Also there's still Nicks available. He would be a good fit IMO. Liked Shorts. For me it's down to Nicks and Crabtree. Not sure what Jennings has left.

I may be in the minority but I want 2 WR's from the draft. One of them being Waller from GT. He's 6'6" 241lbs runs a 4.4 40 and had a really good pro day last week showing great hands. He's moving up the draft board quick.

IMO Nicks is done. Crabtree was never very fast and now injuries have slowed him down even more. Jennings probably doesn't have much left either. I would draft a WR in the first round and go with the corps of young guys and let them grow together. Hopefully they resign Clay as well.
