Well its already been established that there won't be that big of a problem with most of his old teammates so we will have to wait and see if it is a bad idea and if it is than we have UPS anyway

I don't want Ricky back...he's a quitter and a cancer...
I fully agree that depth is important, especially quality depth. And I also agree that having depth at RB is important. The intention of my post was to argue against bringing Williams back-not because I deny the importance of depth but because I feel he would be a detriment to team chemistry.Celtkin said:I respectfully disagree. Depth at any position is a good thing, especially when you are talking about quality depth. The RB position is one that is prone to injury (see last season). In the event it happens this year, we won't have to depend on 2nd stringers to carry the load. Also, sharing carries without diminishing a quality running game, lessens the chance of either starting RB being injured.
I, for one, like having two boats.
saban isnt in an urgent role to get to winning..he knows it will take time...many leaders in the media may say they will take him back but under their breath believe me they are pissed..and he's at 200 lbs..it takes a while to get back into shape that he once was if he actually ever does get back to his old playing shape...Boik14 said:Too bad Mr Carucci doesnt realize that most of our supposed team leaders have already said theyd take him back. In addition, I think he fails to realize the sense of urgency that NFL coaches feel to win now. When you're 4-12; you do ANYTHING you can to get back respectability immediately. Losing, even without someone who walked out on the team, is awful for team and fan moral. And its not like RW's contract is a heavy cap hit. Its not liek we're talking about some back up here either. This is a pro bowl level RB.
- It may not be urgent for saban but you think ownership and fans want to keep losing? Its a move that unquestionably makes teh team better.tucker said:saban isnt in an urgent role to get to winning..he knows it will take time...many leaders in the media may say they will take him back but under their breath believe me they are pissed..and he's at 200 lbs..it takes a while to get back into shape that he once was if he actually ever does get back to his old playing shape...
I thought it was 195. Anyway see the post i answered right above this. he has plenty of time to add weight before hes eligible to play.FinaticPatch said:He is in the 190 range is he not?
He smoked while he was playing too. That wont inhibit him much, mainly in shortness of breath which eventually can be overcome.FinaticPatch said:You cant just smoke pot for a year and hope to be in football shape. He could add the weight but it would be the wrong kind of weight this season unlees he is closer friends to David Boston than we all think. Any one can put on 20-30 pounds but 20-30 pounds of muscle is a whole different story.
His weight is the least of my concerns. If he is coming back, I hope he is spending half his time on a shrink's couch, and the other half with his nose firmly planted up Zach and Taylor's a$$es.Boik14 said:I thought it was 195. i dont think he should bother with anyones @ss. He should be splitting time between the gym and talking to a shjrink....mainly in the gym if we want him healthy and productive. And since hes likely returning, hes better off being healthy and productive since it will help him gain acceptance back from teammates and fans that much faster.phinsforever said:His weight is the least of my concerns.
