Michael Vick wouldn’t mind having Terrell Owens line up at receiver for the Atlanta Falcons  as long as T.O. understands one thing.

“This is my team,†Vick said Wednesday.

Besides, No. 7 already has provided a resounding response to those who criticize his passing numbers and deride him as nothing more than a freak of an athlete masquerading as a quarterback.

yeah i'm sure owens would love being on a run-heavy team with a QB that isn't accurate

I'd love to see this happen just to laugh at the inevitable explosion where Owens fights his teammates or calls them out.

I thought Owens said in the offseason that he would like to go to Atlanta? He would fit right in there. Crumpler doesnt have too much of a problem there, Owens would get his catches there.

If he goes there he is going to need a cool alias.

Rob Djibouti? Rod Antartica? Randy Israel? Roald Cuba? Ricky Suriname?

No way does Philly release owens. They are going to keep him until they trade him in the offseason, why cut the man and get nothing?

:yeahthat:

Philly can get nothing for Owens, nobody will trade anything for him. He will be released and sign a 1 year 2 million dollar deal loaded with incentives for a team who is willing to risk it on a great WR.

Until they TRY to trade him in the offseason. They have no leverage on Owens. They should try to trade him, but will end up just releasing him.

if they trade him doesn't the other team have to agree to his contract? I don't think anyone is going to do that. They are going to have to cut him outright.

You are probably correct.

However if he IS traded, the team most likely will require a new contract. TO is already unhappy with his contract and im sure teams are not going to want to pay his 5 million roster bonus in March.

If you look at it, he is due a roster bonus in March and the Eagles already dont want him on the team. Teams will know that the Eagles will cut him by March. Therefore the Eagles dont have much leverage in Owens.

I also think he will be cut the day before his roster bonus. However im sure the eagles at least try to trade him beforehand.

Classic quote by Michael Vick:

[font=Arial, Helvetica] "We understand that it takes 11 guys to win a football game," Vick said.

11 guys?! Take that, defense!

Is it me, or is he having quite a 'ME' episode this week?

One thing to say to him: 'We'll see where you'll be when you hit 30-31-32 years of age'...

I'm not sure it would happen. If Owens gets the money he's seeking, winning usually keeps him quiet, something the Falcons with Vick are pretty good at.

The thing I dont understand is that he said over the offseason that he wanted to be traded to Atlanta. Didnt make any sense to me then and it still dosnt.
