OK, let me start off by saying that I loved Vick in college. I thought he was a no brainer at the number one pick. Ive defended him for years. That said...
He sucks.
He still cant throw the ball for crap. Im amazed at how little touch he has. He throws a uncatchable ball most of the time. He throws hard when someone is 5 feet away from him. He cant hit guys in timing routes, he has no accuracy. I keep waiting for the year he learns to play Qb, but Im convinced he just will never learn. I think the problem is that everyone told him he was great when he really didnt know the position and he doesnt work hard enough.
I watched him throw bricks and toss the ball straight into the turf on numerous occasions where he had plenty of time to throw. Then I watched Brees. Heres a guy that has great touch. He throws a very catchable ball. Its right on time its in the right spot and it just seems to float into the receivers hands. Its like night and day. If it wasnt for some dump offs and some great plays by TEs and WRs, Vick would have completed like 2 passes. Hes terrible. Im amazed that he isnt criiticised more.
Vick can run, hes always been a great athlete but he stinks. Id much rather have Schaub as my starter than Vick. Vick will never beat a good team in the playoffs, if he gets back, ever.
Now I know this is a hater post, I know there are Vick lovers out there, I know because I was one and I was wrong. Hes terrible. I honestly hope I eat crow one day and he wins I like the guy but damn watching him try to throw is painful.

name one great play other than the lelie catch.

crumpler dropped several balls including an easy TD. lelie got outmuscled in the end zone by fred thomas. white fell down once. jenkins had a bomb bounce off his hands and dropped another one even though he cheated to get open. vick didn't have a good game but it's not like he was missing wide open wr's.

Usually I will agree with the Vick is overrated arguement, but you cannot use the last game as evidence. Crumpler should have made both those catches in the endzone on the opening drive. And there were more than a couple of drops that should have definitely been made in that game.

I thought Vick was the only bright spot on Atlanta's offense on Monday night. Dunn couldn't even get going.
 
Vick wins games....simple as that, he isnt the best passer but he somehow finds ways to get it done.

He has been suffering from bad WR play for a LONG time now, in an offense that isnt suited for him, and has everyone trying to make him stop running and start throwing more....

Let Michael Vick be Michael Vick and you will win games, simple as that. Maybe it wont look pretty but it will get done
 
jay fielder won games with probowlers behind him. Vick wins with bad teams around him.

im sorry, anyone bashing Vick for this last game didnt watch the game. there were probably 8 dropped passes, including a TD pass. and that is not even close to exaggerating.

atlanta has one of the best o-lines in the league, a very good defense, warrick dunn, KB's boy norwood, alge crumpler, and all those 1st rounders at WR. he's a horrible passer and makes bad decisions. why do people keep defending him? he's not good.
 
Ron Mexico is posing as a QB. He is a media darling. This is no secret.

All those 1st round recievers suck....they drop balls, Crumpler was dropping balls, 80% of the games I watch Vick is getting knocked on his *** repeatedly.

He is never going to be a 60% passer, but he is always going to win you games and get you into the playoffs, (or at least more years than not)

and

He already has beaten a good team in the playoffs, The Packers, At Lambeau Field and became the first QB to win a playoff game in Green Bay
 
i'm willing to bet that the supporting cast on atlanta's offense is better than anything jay fiedler had in 2000 and 2001.

take that to the atlanta board and see what they have to say. their o-line sucks at pass blocking.

detroit used 3 #1's on WR's. what do they have?

did you not watch the game? alge crumpler dropped 3 balls himself. michael jenksins dropped a few balls himself! 8 balls is not exaggerating at all.

and his OLine is not good. they play a zone blocking scheme so they are decent at run blocking. they arent good at pass blocking. a very good defense? since when? they suck.
