It was the first time I've seen Ricky Williams run past Ronnie Brown before the snap. I thought it was by design, but this video shows it might have been a busted play, where the center missed the snap count.

After the touchdown, the center (Satele, #64) isn't celebrating (1:14 in the video). His body language seems to show that he was confused about something.

If it was a busted play, good thing that Ronnie & Ricky were able to improvise and score the TD.

After some research, I guess it is confirmed that it was a busted play..

=============
''The play clock was winding down, so I tried to hurry up and get Ricky in motion,'' Brown said. 'Unfortunately, I picked my leg up, and
Samson [Satele] wasn't looking yet. I thought we had, like, three seconds, and Ricky had run by, so I was like, ``Snap the ball, snap the ball.' ''

Brown took the snap, started toward the middle, then bounced around the right side. Patrick Cobbs took out one defender, and Williams swiftly peeled back to get a piece of cornerback Quentin Jammer. Brown strolled into the end zone.

Oh well who cares they scored. At least they were able to improvise.

Ricky's block on that play was crazy.

Yeah Sparano mentioned this in the post game press conference. They screwed it up. It was a nice job of making something happen though.

Busted Play

Maybe yes but ricky came back and interferred with a sure play stop just enough to allow the TD. That's how teams win. Nice job by all concerned.I'll take the 7 on any play.

the best thing about that video was watching that idiot Sanders not saying anything...when Steve was talking about the Dolphins beating 2 great teams back to back Sanders had to shot his big fat mouth

Ozzy rules!!

wow, think about that, we scored even on a busted play.....LoL, they may want to make that a wrinkle in the Wildcat and use it sometimes.

Despite all the attention on Brown, Ricky, is in part, the secret to much of Ronnie's success. Ricky is playing completely unselfish and with class...kuddos to him!! In time, Ricky will get his.

this was the play when Ronnie was laughing before taking the snap. It was good to see Ronnie smiling and laughing after just about every play

That thought occurred to me as well...nice when things are going your way.

Agreed, he has impressed me in that respect. Very classy. I only wish we could have seen that lick he was gonna put on Jammer.

I thought it was by design...and I had been HOPING for them to try that too.

Every time they run that formation, they hike the ball as the motion man gets to Ronnie. If I'm a defender, I'm keying off that and getting a jump on the snap. I was hoping that they would NOT snap it then once, and try and get the defense to jump offsides. As I watched that play, I thought to myself, well, guess that didn't work.

funny it was simply a miscue, and not my 'brilliant' idea
