The Miami Dolphins have (finally) moved away from QB Ryan Tannehill, who got more than a fair shake as their team’s QB. Now with a new coach and staff, new QBs and a fresh attitude, they’re going to attempt to turn things around.

With a full rebuild going on, no one is expecting Miami to be very competitive this season for a playoff spot. But with new coach Brian Flores and new signal callers under center, the Fins will be intriguing to watch.

After signing Ryan Fitzpatrick as their bridge QB, Miami swooped after the Arizona Cardinals simply had to have QB Kyler Murray after drafting Josh Rosen with a Top 10 pick just a year ago. This could prove to be highway robbery.

While no one knows how this will play out, Flores is going to let the players decide on who starts and who sits. But at some point, he’ll have to let Rosen show what he can do so that they can either stick with him as a potential franchise quarterback or that they have to address the situation next year in the NFL Draft.

Our money here is on Rosen; he was awful last year, but he was a rookie saddled with an even more awful team. It was a total lose-lose situation. The games in the AFC East this year within the division are much more compelling with all of the new quarterbacks in place.

Just wish the cardinals didn’t take Murray, would of went after that kid hard..

Oh well, should be a great year to evaluate who is gonna be our future signal caller, we’re in a good position to identify and target pro level with Rosen and college level with Tua, Love, Herbert.

If Rosen can read Ds, he's already ahead of Thill. If he can call protections, even better

I don't think there is any doubt that Rosen will beat out Fitzgerald...

EVENTUALLY,

I'd like to see him sit & watch Fitz win and lose a few games, watch how he prepares and deals with adversity & different game situations.

It would be great if he beats him out right away, but I don't see it playing out that way unless injury plays a factor.

What does he mean When he says Florez will let the players decide who sits in who starts? Are taking a vote??

He’s going to allow no favoritism towards position battles, their play and execution will determine if they start.. let it play out and decide..

Doesnt matter who the QB is... The FO did not have QB performance in mind when they built the 2019 OL... Hell even the WR group is borderline when you consider that only Stills is a surefire day 1 capable starter...

Thanks for that. I was picturing Flores passing out a ballet to the other 51 players with both names on it lol

While I never thought that Tannehill had "it", I do think that he was never given a real chance. Any QB is at a disadvantage working under Philbin, Lazor, or Gase. Sherman was better than those three, but Philbin didn't want him establishing a strong running game (which would help the QB). And, the offensive philosophy of Philbin and Gase was pathetic, with no emphasis put on tough, strong, physical o-linemen to protect the QB, open up running lanes, and stretch the field in the passing game. Seriously, what kind of offense are you running when on 3rd and short your go-to play is to toss the ball behind the line of scrimmage so that the ball carrier can be tackled for a loss? Every other team is able to run the ball for the first down, but not Miami!

That said, I hope Rosen turns out to be "the guy". I know nothing about him, but I'm tired of waiting for Miami to finally replace Marino.

If Rosen starts and beats the Ravens, you're like hey what's this...if he loses, at least you got some tape.

If a 36 year old back up wins, you're like great, we still need a QB and you just cost us a better '20 draft position, if he loses, you're like well that was a waste of time.

Dolphins should start Rosen and stop listening to clueless fans/media.

And stop with the lame A excuse of who wins in training camp should be the starter, that's what losers with no balls do.

The schedule looks like a solid 0-4 start before the bye...I’m on board with Fitz playing those games unless he loses the job in camp(possible).

100% Agree! If Fitz starts, his 1st INT the crowd will start screaming for Rosen. Just start Rosen already!

we’re home 4 out of the first 5 games plus the bye in there at home, that’s one week out of almost two months where we have to travel..nice little set up there for a young team.

Yes...but the first 4 were playoff teams no?

I see 0-4...starting Rosen after the bye!
