Rumors persist that the Vikings could trade with the Houston Texans for quarterback David Carr, who might cost just a fourth-round draft pick.

Although the Texans have never admitted it, if they trade David Carr, they'll have to acquire another veteran to compete with Sage Rosenfels for the starting job. They also are expected to draft a quarterback who fits Gary Kubiak's system and give him time to develop.

If the Vickings trade for Carr and the Texans aquire Plummer, that would elimanate them from the Quinn race. Kubiak wants a QB he can mold that fits his system. Personally Quinn is not it... Look for a guy like Troy Smith in the later rounds..

Actually no, Plummer is only a stop gap and Kubiak would LOVE to get his hands on a rookie QB to groom for a year or 2

IMO, it'll be a draft day trade if Quinn and Russell are both gone.

I can see someone being interested in Carr, he;s still young and might flourish with a change of scenery. But I dont know why anyone would want to give up a mediocre QB, just to get another one in Plummer.

Gee that Culpepper trade is looking awful smart for them.
yeah look at the great things that DC has done after the trade .:D

Carr is not injured proned and is quite young. He might be successfull with a good OL and the great RB they have.

It was smart. You swear like they lost something special. Culpepper has a losing record as their franchise QB, so they weren't winning with him.

Tavaris Jackson looks good; has potential to be special. They are in good hands, plus their offensive line is one of the best, so if they make the David Carr trade, David Carr would finally have an offensive line to work with that isn't as pathetic as Houston's.

I hate to tell you this but not alot of Qb's can say they have a winning record with the Vike's bud.
