Vikings Guys, Break Down Our Front 7

well, you can see a lot of mistakes by different players on that video. Could be coaching and it could be players free lancing again. Either way it's not good and that's why they give up so many big plays.

And we're winning.

What happens if we clean some of that garbage up?

He exposed McMillan and Baker as having no gap discipline. Literally some of the best film dissection I have ever seen. I wish the Dolphins had guys like this reporting for them. That guy knows what the **** he is talking about.

I believe he used to be a player in the NFL

Godchaux and the LBs didn't look to good lol.

Mainly it the young and inexperienced players. It is why both Spence, Hood, and Williams were picked up. The play has changed in the running game on the defense. Experienced DTs are doing what they need to do and the linebackers are fitting better. We will see how they play tomorrow.

Also saw lots of holding and hands to the face uncalled.

Keep in mind too, alot of that film is from earlier in the year when we had more issues.

McMillan and Baker (Both essentially rookies) have been coming on lately.

Enjoyable analysis. Kiko really is a fun one to watch. Unbelievably bad decisions on some plays, and unbelievably good on others. Most Dolphins lately seem to do that. And when 11 players are all 50/50 on good/bad, we end up 8-8.

In any case, I really do enjoy watching analysis. I don't get a lot of time to watch things like that. Maybe when I retire I can spend more time looking at "tape." I really like Travis Wingfield and his breakdowns.

There were things we saw this week that we haven’t seen all season. The linebackers were more physical, especially McMillan. McMillan was crushing the lead blocker. When he has an unquestioned target, he’s a great run stuffer. In a single back set, McMillan seems to struggle with the keys and takes a lot of false steps. I expected struggles in coverage but I didn’t expect him to struggle this much to diagnose run action.

I won’t say anything about Kiko. I’ve said enough about him over the season.

He exposed the posters on this forum who say “it is the scheme” which is nonsense. I stipulate that other that other schemes might be better to end that diatribe. The most important issue is that players are making a lot of mistakes. Godchaux shows up on the film multiple times making mistakes which invalidate stunts or lead to gap breakdowns. I am very glad that Hood, Williams, and Spence add veteran stability.

Another important point is that Gase HAS BEEN 100% correct about fits being the issue. I will beat you to the punch. That is the fault of the players and the coaching staff! It is not just defensive play calling. It is execution.
