Vikings Officially Contact Dolphins

The best way to take advantage of these trades is by asking for players these teams have. Simms is a building block in the TB trade, but in the Minny trade I can't really think of anyone. RB is our pick at 7 basically. Possible E.J. Henderson could help but the Vikings might not want to give him up. What's the point of Cowart, Harris, AND Henderson though.

I'd ask for Henderson, the 7th and the 18th from the Vikes.

Nublar, amazing as always my friend. Great pickup. I can't imagine Saban mulling a trade with the Vikings if they are offering their 2 1st round picks. I would pull the trigger before any other team like the Browns or Niners jump all over it.

I don't remember where that draft chart is that gives you what the picks are worth, but do you think Minnesota would have to give up #7 and #18 for us to trade?(anybody,Nublar7) that would be great!

Everyone wants BOTH of the Vikings 1st rd picks...if the Vikings want to be cheap, it would probably be to give Miami their #7 overall & a 2nd round pick and more instead of both #1's.

nublar wat does this mean
we have tampa and minny that wanna trade with us, which scenario is likely to happen do we get 7 18 or tampas 5 and number 2 and 3 do we keep surtain or get a 2nd rounder? im soo confused that im getting a headache u really think alex smith is the reeel deeel at number 2 or aaron rodgers i find these qbs are just ok they remind me of the grbac's and the marinovich's nad mcgwires' so highly touted but in the real football league u get crushed

things are surely starting to heat up, Saban is out there fishing trying to see what he can catch...

You know Nublar, I really have to admit - you're incredible. How the heck do you do that ... so often. If there's news that breaks you just seem to have some sixth sense. I also noticed you're good at stuff that breaks late which is great for me cause I'm an insomniac and am always looking for some news late at night. I guess what I'm trying to say is ... thanks.

Yes. But I'm not sure we'd offer the best deal. It might end up forcing us to toss in a little bargaining chip to be able to make the deal over CLE. I think it's a game of poker... we know Minnesota wants it bad, and they know we want to trade it bad.

But I don't know if CLE would move out. They need help all over, but QB is a pretty huge need. I would not be completely surprised to see Cle trade up 1 spot to ensure we don't trade it to TB for Smith/Rodgers. THAT would be the ideal situation, because then we turn around and trade #3 to Minnesota so they can nab Edwards.

Yeah. The market might favor the Vikings. It's gonna be a mean game of poker, where the winner's gonna take all.

I agree on that. It's just they have to give a decent bit to do it without giving up the 18th. They're a loaded team though that's a smart strategy for them. They don't need many picks.

I could see the 7th, their 2nd, their 3rd, plus E.J. working out.

That leaves them with Edwards and probably Erasmus James or Pollack. That's good for Minnesota as that completes their team pretty much.

I think that the more likely trade is the Minny trade for their two 1st rounders. If Smith really was Gruden's target and San Fran takes him like is being stated, that trade is dead.
