MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) - The Minnesota Vikings apparently have wasted little time filling their coaching vacancy.
The Minneapolis Star Tribune on Thursday reported the Vikings will name Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Brad Childress as their next coach on Friday.
Minnesota's coaching job became available two hours after Sunday's season finale, when Mike Tice was told he would not be offered a contract extension.
