MIAMI  The Minnesota Vikings' run-stuffing defense failed to faze Joey Harrington, and their trash-talking didn't rattle him, either.

"It's nice to beat those guys, especially with what they were saying," Harrington said. "There were a lot of guys talking  asking me how I'm doing, whether I've bought a house here, and what the traffic's like. You know, the usual."

Harrington went 26-for-42 and wasn't sacked. His throwing compensated for a running attack held to minus 3 yards, a franchise low.

Even without any ground game, the offensive productivity could have been better. Harrington went 7-for-8 on Miami's first possession to reach the 1-yard line before Ronnie Brown lost a fumble. A 58-yard touchdown pass from Harrington to Chris Chambers was negated by a chop-block penalty.

"Joey did a good job of managing the game," coach Nick Saban said. "He made a lot of good throws."

Afterward, the Vikings had words of praise.
"Joey made a lot of great plays," quarterback Brad Johnson said. "It seemed like he was always making the right reads. Sometimes you need a change of scenery, and this seems like it worked out

It seems like Joey is getting more comfortable than any time he was playing in Detroit, he seems like he is playing with more confidence. It should only get better with time and more success throwing TD's.

Finally a good thread on Harrington. Much overdue.

Nothing like a team that has lost three straight talking smack.....classic.

seems like everyone except the haters here see how well Joey is doing

say what you want about Harrington, but he has sure grown a lot mentally since coming here...and I mean A LOT. Did anyone hear his post-game press conference? He sure is one confident person.

Calm down Slappy...

Today he played great, the Vikings said the dolphins, make joey beat us. And he did.

But at the same time he isn't even in the top 32 for qb ratings, he should be getting criticised.

Friggen phenominal 1st half. Soso 2nd half. Probably his best game in a Dolphin uniform, but still 10 offensive points isn't great. He is managing the game well and really doesn't have many terribly negative plays with the exception of the INT bug which has seemed to have died down a bit. 1 int isn't 2-3 like it was earlier and it's helping the defense.

2 turnovers...he is what he is, what he always has been.

Pretty much. Just too inconsistant. I wish he would put together a complete game. Maybe against the Lions?

Would be a heck of an opportune moment for him to do it. We're banged up. We could use him carrying a game.

-3 yards rushing, and still 256 yards on the board 10 points should have had 2 more TD's Chambers dropped a pass he had in his hands that would have setup first and goal, then peele chop blocks a guy negating a 58 yard TD. Seems to me he did a pretty good job of carrying the offense this game!
