Vince Wilfork A Possiblility for Miami?

I work with a N.E. fan, he just mentioned that they are trying to negotiate Logan Mankins down as well.

Wilfork = $11.6 mio against cap
Mankins = $10.5
Revis = $7.0

We just signed two defensive tackles. There is no need for Wilfork. We are better off using the money on another player preferrably on the offensive line instead of him.

He hates the Dolphins guys, said he always did and it has nothing to do with the NE rivalry. Money talks though I guess.

Only way I can see him in Miami is if nobody really wants him and he decides to move back home but still play another year or two for the home team at a discounted price of 3-4 mil then I don't think we can pass that up. He'd be a perfect run stuffer with steaks odrick and earl all pretty small to really clog up the middle like Paul did. I doubt this happens but if it did then I don't see how you can pass up maybe the best nose tackle in the league for cheap.

If he didn't cost much hell yea.....those who think we replaced Soliai with Mitchell are kidding themselves, we are definitely not as good on the DL right now as we were last yr.....unless we get better LB the running got worst....

I would take that A hole Mankins in a second if he gets cut......

Interesting.

He is a Miami native and Alum.

He already has the rings, so going to a contender is not exactly top of his list.

Ring*. He was a rookie the year the Pats "won" their last Superbowl. But I get what you are saying.

No.

MIA's DL is set and they still need a CB, MLB and OL.

Let Wilfork leave the division.

We had our best chance to get him in 2004. Instead we moved up to get Vernon Carey.
10 years later now and I'd pass on him.

Where could Wilfork end up if cut? I wouldn't rule out Miami or Tampa Bay. Said it would be a "dream come true" http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/20...012610_1_vince-wilfork-franchise-tag-patriots

Old news but ...
Wilfork, who has started 80 games for the past six seasons, wasn't shy about admitting that playing in Florida either for the Dolphins or Tampa Bay - would be "a dream come true." The Dolphins need to address the nose tackle position because of Jason Ferguson's age, season-ending quadriceps injury, and free agent status.

While Wilfork says he can see himself playing for the Patriots rival, he openly admits his first preference is to sign a long-term deal with New England.

"I love great weather. I love football. It doesn't matter where I play. I just want to have security for my family," he said. "I would love to stay in New England if I had the chance. I love New England because of my teammates, my family. My son, the friends and connections we've made up there, it's some great people up there. But if it doesn't work out I'll weigh my options I tell you that."

He is a Manbeast and would definitely upgrade our DT position.Come on down Wilfork!!

He has taking over games before.MANBEAST!!

An old overweight player coming off an Achilles injury. No thank you. Plus I hate that fat pig.
