ESPN just ran a quick story on Vince Young. He held a workout for scouts in Austin today and ran a 4.58 40 which was a little slower than expected. Do you think Vince could possibly fall out of the Top 10, especially since the Raiders signed Brooks at QB, Tenn will likely take Leinart, Cutler will probably go after Leinart...I am wondering if maybe the Lions will draft Young as a backup to Kitna??

Where you guys think Young will end up??

I think he could go to Detroit at 9, maybe Arizona or Baltimore at 10 and 13. I also think he may still be drafted by Oakland.

Sean Salisbury reports that he had a really good workout even though his speed was average. They said his passes were very accurate, but his delivery is a little awkward and kind of sidearm even though he is 6'5". They also said he needs to learn how to QB under Center and not just out of the pocket.

IMO, ESPN got too sweaty over his speed. We've seen him out run defenders 80 yards, and he can run well. Scrambling QB's of his size aren't really all about speed, so it's not enormously essential. 4.58 aint slow anyway. It's less than half a blink slower than a 4.3 which we would call an extremely fast time.

No way Cutler goes ahead of Vince Young!

That's just rediculous to even post that....

Not only will he go ahead of Vince Young, I'm willing to bet that he goes AT LEAST a half dozen spots ahead of Young.

If Vince gets out of the top ten we could see a Rodgers like drop. Cutler goes in the top 4.

Just like I said in the other forum, Vince Young will drop to number 10 in Arizona. Arizona would be the best fit for him especially with all those weapons he would have (Boldin, Fitzgerald, Edgerrin James). If Arizona passes on him, call me crazy, but he will probably drop to the 20's-30's of the 1st round or off to the 2nd round. I suggest he doesn't show up in Madison Square Garden/Radio City (where ever this year's draft will be), it will be embarrasing to show up in a suit and not get drafted too high of the first round, or to slip in the 2nd.

Some of you Vince Young fan's might ask me: Why would I think all this "nonsense"? Because Vince Young has the most question marks out of every potential position player in the 1st round. Many teams have many other needs, and I won't be surprised if they pass on a QB that has many question marks about being successful in the professional level.

I think Cutler maybe the one to fall if nobody wants a Qb. I think Young goes 3 to the Titans and somebody moves up for Leinart. The Jets moving up to get Leinart would not surprise me at all and would still give New Orleans to possibly take the guy they would take 2nd with the 4th pick and give them additional picks.

People have been saying that for a long time.

I disagree, I do think the Jets will trade up to 2 for Leinart and then the Titans will take the hometown guy Cutler.

Dennis Green was on the radio yesterday morning and wouldn't come out and say anything, but he did say that if one of the three qbs slipped to 10 they would have to seriously consider taking who ever it would be. Personally I think all three go in the top ten, may not happen but that is my guess. Detroit and Arizona have never had a good qb, both teams need to end the drought.
