Vincent Jackson Decision Could Reset WR Market (Wallace Mention)

I don't have a big problem with the $ he's getting paid just his attitude. But to me it makes no sense to cut him this year. Next year if he's still a problem fine let him go and get some actual cap savings

I agree. I got to get one more year out of him. PLUS, he must know he is "on line the line" next year. I betcha he has a big season and keeps his noise clean.

Are you telling me he taps out this season and is a malcontent in a year he could be dumped?

That type of attitude Wallace has can be cancerous though. New guys in the locker room may see how Wallace acts towards the coaches and get the notion that it's acceptable and there aren't really any negatives to acting like a ****.

Rumors are he's staying in TB at his cap #.

Exactly. Plus you can draft 1-2 guys and develop them. Even if you take one early you aren't going to pressure him to be the #1 guy immediately.

I must be getting old some of these numbers man for players like Harvin etc. I guess the market is the market. I did not see that they mentioned the Jets game situation in that article.

And the story will be Joe has no control over the locker room or his players.

Some players there is no controlling. In a business environment, you're not always going to like your boss, or you're not always going to want to be buddy-buddy with your boss, but the person is in that situation because they've been around for a while and know what they're doing. Wallace is the type of guy that completely ****s on that system. Granted, an NFL locker room is probably wayyyyyy different than any corporate setting, but I can guarantee there are guys on every NFL team that don't like the coach, and coaches on every NFL team that don't like a particular player, but many are able to keep things in check.

yeah and the market is getting more expensive it definitely seems.... almost where sometimes you are paying more for the name instead of what you are actually getting. its like real shopping!!!

and for the locker room comment above with Wallace hanging around... i agree with it. but also having positive attitude players around can negate that... there are so many players on a football team, so many different personalities, backgrounds, and everyone has grown up through the years as athletes understanding this and dealing with it. it basically becomes you get used to people like that and know how to relate or handle negative situations... there are people around that keep the team together as a whole, and the younger guys can develop and grow from that as well. or like with Landry it seems he has his head geared straight for dominance anyways, and a player like that is what keeps others going and a team working!!!

now i say all this as how you hope it all ties together.... but some as you mentioned, and i agree, there are some attitudes and personalities that really destroy a team and you dont want any of that around.

is Mike Wallace that type of personality you totally want gone, or the one you deal with and know when to shrug it off???

No way Wallace stays. They wont want him rubbing off on the young guys and what if he quits on them again? Then what?? Replace him now. Im not sure Tanny wants him either and like it or not this is Tannys team.

Can we trade him FOR Vincent Jackson? lol

Good luck with his 2.3 yards after the catch avg per reception
only 3 players in the NFL had a worst yac avg.

I think with this offense and Tannehills strong suite we need players who can
excel with YAC

The thing I hate about this whole Wallace thing is that we think we have all the facts but do we really?

What was that conversation like when Hickey and Wallace had dinner? If Wallace wont restructure thats fine.

What I want to see from Wallace is start changing his language and attitude to working with whats in front of him.

If he wants out, then he will be out eventually. I just wouldnt do it until June 1 (designation).

Its all about Wallace and what he wants IMO. What is that? One day its we are looking for trade partners, next its wallace may take a cut, next its this or that whatever this media does to sell a newspaper.

All signs to me point to he is gone. Its about what he feels. Philbin or not, Wallace is controlling this situation. Its not good for anyone in this franchise here. Looking at Tannehill.

Wallaces yards after the catch are almost as bad and with the attitude and catch radius? Ill take VJAX all day and three times on Sunday...
