Saban said defensive tackle Vonnie Holliday (elbow), long snapper John Denney (elbow), guard C.G. Brooks (shoulder) and wide receiver Fred Gibson have undergone offseason surgeries.

any news on these guys (especially Vonnie)?

well i don't want to hijack this thread - the thread needs to stay about the original topic but if you want to talk some shuggie, come over to the lounge... :wink:
 
Vonnie was solid at worst for us this year. No one expected him to play as well as he did (except maybe Saban) so I'm glad he's getting healthy.
I wonder if Fred Gibson will be in better shape now, I remember wanting to draft him a year ago but all of a sudden.... he gets cut and he can't make it past our training squad? He's talented, maybe the surgery will help him out.

I remember gibson hurt his ankle, and it was healing very slow...that might be it.
 
Vonnie was solid last year...got plenty of pressure on the QB's, nice tackler, glad we picked him up and hope he is even better next year.
 
gibson is a very good wr maybe the surgery is what he needed him and chambers and booker would make a hell of a team....
 
Fred had surgery to repair ankle ligament damage. He is in rehab now and looking forward to off-season workouts.
