I can't help but wonder what our thinking was on Vonta Leach when we didn't pursue him. I realize at the time Keller was healthy, but when you watch the holes open up and the catches he makes... I just can't but wonder how much of our offense we would have had to change to accommodate him.

When I look at some of the players we kept, I just don't see the logic of not extending ourselves in adding to the playbook, increasing our salary cap and cutting a fringe special teams player to accommodate a player with such an impact when he is on the field. Especially when we look at our salary cap now, the players we cut and quality of some players kept.

I trust our decision makers and I am not second guessing them. This is just one of those decisions I wish I had been a fly on the wall to hear the thought process.

Watching him catch a pass for a TD just brings up questions I wish I had answers for.

Ermagerd he scurred a turchdurn!

Let's see if it is a non issue when the Fins are in 3rd and 4th short or on the goal line this year. I question their ability to get the tough yard and a Leach would help.

I do think the 11 Personnel Package is their best formation. However, those short yardage situations are going to be interesting.

Every time a player we sniffed or released has a few good plays with another team these threads pop up - Ted Ginn anyone?

OP has a legitimate argument.

Especially when you consider the unknown nature of our inexperienced running attack.

Plus factor in the signing of a journeyman at the position which was done at the very last minute and you can't help but scratch your head at the decision making.

Jeff Ireland does not get the benefit of the doubt in this situation.

That said, I trust in Joe Philbin to have a plan that will use his personnel to the best of their abilities.

Leach is a non factor if the Miami is okay at running the ball and efficient in short yardage situations.

A few good plays EVERY GAME that has led him to be the best FB in the NFL. A Pro Bowler. Please don't compare Vonta Leach to Ted Ginn, Jr.

I simply wondered what our logic was. Read much?

It will be a non issue when tannehill hopefully starts throwing for the td s from that yardage

We have ended up with a player who is younger, bigger and delighted to be a Dolphin, at a fraction of the cost. Time will tell if Tyler Clutts has what we are looking for.

I knew it, I came here just to see of there was a Vontae Leach thread. It's a shame we can't bet finheaven tendencies in Vegas.

Leach looks like beast tonight. Just sprung rice for a red zone rushing td. Those are hard to come by. Not as hard when you have leach

No where in my post did I compare the two players to each other and you ask if I read much - wow.
