Man it feels good to know we have a shut down corner in the making. Bringing back the days of Sam madison an T Buck

He is very Madison-like. Big mouth, big plays, similar build. Man, I love these last two drafts. Let's only hope Sean picks it up and becomes the uber talent Surtain was. But as I remember Pat needed some time to work things out too.

sean really needs to step up his game, i cannot wait to see clemons start that kid looks like a ball hawk

**** an A right he is. Im really starting to like some Vontae Davis. That INT he made was as big a play in a big spot that I can remember our defense making in years.

Vontae is also hilarious in interviews.

Man he is a hard hitting ball hawkin trash talkin bada** SOB Vontae is the man

Anyone notice on the series after his pick, Vonte was jawing with Brady and was holding up 2 fingers. I'd bet he was reminding Brady that they've played twice and he's picked him off twice.

Vontae is a far better CB then Sam Madison. Madison really only had that one great game vs the Titans on sunday night where he had like 3 ints or something. That dude couldn't tackle worth a **** IMO. His coverage was ok but he was getting burned allot late in games. I still remember Wayne Cherbet torching him along with moss and coles back in the day. I would take Vontae Davis in a heartbeat. Dude can tackle, can bump like a mother off the line and has great speed. Now dont get me wrong i liked madison but he got burned more then you think.

Davis is similar to Surtain not Madison. Smith is more of the Madison mode.

He's funny as heck. He's ONE confident player that's what shows through.

He's slowly showing how ****y he really is, little by little just like Henne is slowly starting to show who he really is under all that PC gloss...

I was happy with one Brady to Moss INT from Vontae. Getting a second one to help seal a victory was more than I could have asked. FYI, Brady has less than ten redzone INTs in his career. Vontae has been beat, but he makes big plays in huge spots. Plus, he's a nasty tackler.

Best part is Smith and V. Davis are only getting better....learning each week on the field and watching film. I hope Will Allen and Y. Bell are helping learn how to study film. Season is a grind and these guys are still holding up well as rookies. Both are definitely fearless competitors, Sparano has to be happy despite them both having made mistakes here and there.
Sam Madison was a cover corner guy you could put one on one along with Surtain. Smith and Davis aren't quite there yet. Davis is built more like a linebacker when compared to Madison, but as long as they tackle and have good feet/hips/ball skills... I'm happy

Right on! Davis is an excellent tackler and ball hawk like Surtain, and Smith can be a ball hawk, but is a soft tackler just like Madison.

They both need to get better to be in their league, but they can do it, gotta love the experience they're getting this season.

:woot:

Come On..... First of all Vontae has gotten burned plenty of times this season and Madison was one of the best CB's in the league in his prime. Madison played in your face man BNR coverage the majority of the time and di waaaay more than held his own. That is a tough task to say the least.
