Vontae Davis Questionable for Week 1

definately need him for Atlanta. Nate Jones and Allen are already cranking up the toaster.
 
jones will be fine back there until vontae's ready to come back. wish he was healthy for that all important first game though - ryan's no joke.

I dont Jones will be fine in coverage but he may get a sack. He has never been impressive in coverage.

he's not awful in coverage - buy ryan might exploit him. hopefully we blitz enough - and get that pressure - that it won't even make a difference. i'd obviously rather have him healthy but not too concerned. i like jones - like the way he plays. allen - not so much.
 
I hope he can play. We're really going to need his tackling ability..

He not awful but not good in coverage either. He is much more suited to dime than nickel
 
They cut Will Billingsley yesterday and there was talk that they were going to hang onto Billingsley until they felt Davis would be OK. Things must be going well for him .
 
I have feeling he'll be out there playing as if nothing happened.

Jones is a great blitzer from the slot. Coverage skills are so so. But vs Atl, bringing heat is probably more important anyway. Pressure on Ryan will make all our DBs better.
