Well Revis is 24 and Vontae is just 21. So he has 3 years to prove his worth
Vontae definitely does have the talent and natural ability to be one of the best corners in the league. And he betters his chances by being such a film room guy. He's addicted to studying film. So it's certainly possible if he keeps it up while getting better and more accustomed to the NFL game.
We all know he is a gamer. And you gotta love that. he has a very high compete level, which you just don't know about for sure until the rookie sees the field. But we found that out, so it's all good from that standpoint.
People thought Vontae was dumb, but he's far from it. He not only scored a very high wonderlic score, but he also has a high football IQ.. and most importantly, is a quick learner, a fast study.
His learning curve is certainly shorter than a lot of other 1st round corners that have come out. Moreso considering how incredibly young he is. He was only 20 yrs old when drafted.
That's a very young draftee. I think if Vontae came out in the 2010 draft, he would end up being a top 10 pick. We selected well at #25 last year.
