I just rewatched the Jets game and am now pretty worried about him starting this week. I think he'll be good in the long run, but there were a lot of plays where he just looked lost out there. I know the safties are supposed to help on the long routes, but it seemed like he was trailing a lot of receivers against the Jets. The long play to Edwards that was almost a touchdown he looked silly flailing at the ball.

Are we in for a rough couple games while he gets up to speed?

They should stick Sean Smith on Braylon Edwards and shadow him all game long. It made no sense to me why they put a 5"11 guy like Davis on Braylon Edwards there.

Edwards made Davis look silly there.

Edwards is a tall receiver and Sean Smith is a tall corner.. I thought they said they drafted Smith because of all the tall receivers !! Smith was doing a good job on Edwards in that game, then they take Smith off him ??

That was stupid.

I don't care who plays on the right side and who plays on the left.. Stick Sean Smith on Edwards and have Davis on their #2.

End of story.

Pasqualoni and this defensive coaching staff have made so many errors in judgement this season it's really starting to piss me off..

If miami can get a DECENT pass rush going, it will only help our CB's. and that's a big "IF". I'm not happy with the pass rush this year.

Get him some experience now, our secondary is gettin torched every week anyways....

Miami doesn't shift their CB's with the WR's. They stay on the same side.

^^ I know that

They're stupid. Other teams do it.. That's one of the reasons why opposing offenses have such an easy time matching up against our defense. They shift around players on offense against our stationary defense getting all the favorable matchups.

Making our defense look like sh*t

Our defensive coaches are idiots... For many reasons.

Well, we're rebuilding, so bring it on for schooling our WR Rooks ... better sooner than later!! We have to find out where we're at, so Tuna can plot out where we need to go drafting.

That's why as miserable as New Orleans, Baltimore last year, Atlanta, Indy, etc. games are ... we found out really fast what needs to be fixed.

What did we learn playing the Bills??? ... How to eat cream puffs??:callme:

oh, my bad, didn't catch that part. lol i agree, smith is the better CB, he needs to stay on the number 1.

Yeah really, honestly it's makes no sense at all to me. Ok, so every single week, teams can easily make a mismatch against us because we decide to never switch our corners. And how does that help us? Are our coaches to proud or something to switch them? I REALLY just do not get it..

I see teams all around the league having their #1 corner in the middle of the field waiting for the offense to break out of the huddle.

Then when the offense spreads out that corner goes to the side of the #1 receiver.. Hell, the Jets do that with Revis..

Wherever Moss went in that game (left or right, or in the slot), Revis was right over him.

Keeping your defense stationary makes it very VERY easy for offensive coordinators to get favorable matchups.

Miami is just so stupid with how they run their defense.. Again, on many levels- that's just one of many stupid things they do.

I hate it. And when I see matchups before the snap is called, EVEN I know what's coming.. so if I know what's coming, how come our stupid defensive coordinator can't figure it out ?

We are always "reacting" and not ACTING ! It frustrates the hell out of me.

I think they don't switch because Smith only played one side in college. Vontae played both sides.

Well who knows then...I know our coaches are not stupid so there has to be a good reason that they are not switching.

Sean Smith played left corner too in college.. So I don't want to hear that excuse ever again:
