Vote NO for Pennington!!!

In light of it being an election year, I'm proposing something to be on this years ballot. What i'm really saying is vote no for chad pennington! I don't care if Parcells drafted him or not in 2000, he is not the same player as he was back then. He is now 32 and sucks.

I know our QB situation is not good and has not been since Marino left. But why do we keep going after QB's with huge question marks??? Pennington has had major injuries and can't not throw the ball that well anymore. Why keep going after QB's comming off a major injury? (Culpepper, Green) Why keep going after QB's that have not lived up to expectations or that just plain suck? (Griese, Harrington, Frerotte, Feely, Lemon)

Why not go after a QB with a proven track record and no question marks?
I know it's not as easy as it sounds. Now we hope that Henne can be the QB for the future.

No, seriously. McCown has a 71.6 Career QB rating. Pennington has an 88.9.

Penington is a superior player by any metric(except arm-strength). I'd rather have a top-10-qb than a top-25-qb.

Pennington ranked 15th last year(86.1 rating).
McCown would have ranked 32nd last year(69.4 rating), had he had enough attempts to rank.
