1st dont defer if we win coin toss. Our defense needes to be hidden on sunday, what I mean is our offense must come out the gate and play likes its final 2 minute drive to win EVERY POSSESSION. Wake and Vernon can take out the trash and hide the flaws if were up by 3 possessions not 3 points.

Philbin must have his gonads drop for this game and move forward with them hanging low. Save all the conservative nonsense for when your up by 17 with 5 minutes left in 4th. Attack on offense and for petes sake blitz flacco on more than 3rd and long .

The deep threat of wallace must be attempted in this game whether they hook up on it or not close as usual is not the concern, this ravens team will play a 20 yard box zone and make big hits all game because they know we cant go deep, but u must still attempt it to keep them honest.

Any who thats just my two cents and all I can remember is just watching reed play catch with pennington while beating my orange seat drinking a 12 dollar beer and I hope to rewrite that memory on sunday

I agree - fake punts - fake FG - hook and lateral - go for it on 4th - onside kick - blitzes - and so on...

Dolphins need to go for bust!

Philbin has always been a conservative coach that takes calculated risks at times. Not necessarily a bad thing, just a bit dull to watch. I would be very surprised if he drew up a game plan like that..it would be refreshing though...

I watched CBS sports preview on youtube about this game and agreed with what one of the commentators said. He said that the first pass of the game for Ryan needs to be a deep ball. Establish that you are not going to be afraid to try and drop it deep on them. After that they will have to at least consider it a threat.

That's been the premise for the talking heads for quite a while now. Week 13, we're on a 5-2 run, Tannehill has now completed 70% of his passes the past 5 game and we have a top 10 scoring offense with 25.1 pts a game yet it's still not the case. Establishing the deep ball was for teams of yesteryear IMO. It was when the majority of the NFL ran 21, and 12 personnel and your 3rd WR was primarily a backup on 1st and 2nd down. It's different in today's game. We constantly line up in 3-4, even 5 wide sets and set the tone thru our passing game with an efficiency comparable to the run games of old. We stretch the field horizontally as opposed to vertically with favorable and high percentage plays. The "dink and dunk" saying is trite slang. The deep ball is an asset, not a necessity. What we really need to do is balance our pass/run ratio. That's the critical factor. 35/30.

And to mention, we do not have a deep threat WR. Just because Wallace possesses speed and can get deep doesn't classify him as a deep threat. He's a sloppy route runner and is obviously not a natural pass catcher. I'll reference back to the old saying by Bill Cowher concerning Larry Fitzgerald. I'll paraphrase, "It doesn't matter if Fitzgerald is double covered all over the field, he'll always be open four feet above his head". We do not have a WR like that on our roster. Don't get me wrong about a fantastic WR we have in Landry but he still won't be a deep threat as much as pass catching threat, it's just not his game. (LF: 6'3", JL: 5'11") I'll reiterate though, I love Landry (in my best Ron Burgundy impression).

What I find even more ironic is that someone on CBS said this about us vs the Ravens D. They are 31st in the league in pass defense for yards allowed (273.9), allow 66.7% completions, allow 7.8 y/p (we are #2 with 6.1 for comparison) and have given up 20 TD's and only created 8 interceptions. The Ravens D have shown themselves highly susceptible even to the short-intermediate passing game. The last thing we need to do Sunday is come out and play uncharacteristically to what we have shown to be successful for our offense. It's not a time to come out and get cute; we just need to play to our strengths and execute.

Yeah, let's attempt a bunch of deep **** so RT can take a bunch of sacks behind our ****ty offensive line.

He's getting sacked without throwing deep...and no one said attempt a bunch of deep balls. More like 1 or 2 was suggested.

31st in pass defense? That's great for us. We all want to see the deep ball, but I'm afraid the coaching staff is not comfortable letting Ryan go with that right now.
As far as the deffering if we win the coin toss. I don't mind it. Ideally we get a 3 and out, and it's 2 chances to score first in each half.
I didn't fear the pats, pack, or lions, I definately don't fear the Ravens or their vaunted "D"

I just found the clip that was mentioned. The first thing Pete Prisco opens up with at the :40 mark is saying Flacco should, "take some shots vs those man press corners outside". :err: ..... Seriously?! Man press corners?! Sorry I stopped there. Garbage "analysis". I need some sleep. Get a day job Prisco.

Here's the trash: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyZskdsTQk0
