He was taken over on the depth chart by a guy who signed a week ago, and wasn't even in any camp. Who thinks he gets cut soon?

• The reason offensive linemen Kendyl Jacox was active ahead of Wade Smith, according to Saban, is because if ``he had to go in and play center that he might do a little better job against the nose.''

didn't know jacox had moved ahead of him,,,unless smith is making some kind of strides and impressing houck then, yea, he's probably on the way out

Jacox was mentioned due to the fact he can cope more with a NT. I suppose thats more of a weight and movement thing.

I like to imagine Eddie Moore and Wade Smith getting together on weekends in a bar somewhere to watch NFL games. Whatever team they root for will win, they'll celebrate, and another team's fans will start a fight with them. Eddie will go down with one punch. Wade will hold his own for a little while until somebody connects well enough to shatter every bone in his body.

yea for real eddie and wade both suck, i still remember when wade singal handedly lost the game we played verse the colts a few yrs back.... he was matched up against freeney but still, i couldve stood in there n blocked better than him

Wade Smiths play in the pre-season was all we needed to see. Just about every play, he was getting driven into the backfield if not pushed to the ground by the d-lineman. He should be cut soon but not soon enough. He's just another one of Wannys fine draft picks.

Yea I have never been too fond of Wade Smith . . . doesn't suprise me that Jacox passed him . . . his versatility is the only thing keeping him here . . . but that may still not be enuff . . . he's lucky we are having problems on the line and waiting for people to step up . . .or he wouldn't be on this team (that and if McKinney was healthy . . .never thought I would say I kind of miss Seth out there lol)

You know, I gave Smith the benefit of the doubt after his first season. He was thrust into a tough situation, unexpectedly playing LT on a playoff caliber team as a rookie is not an easy thing. He actually did a pretty respectable job, except when he went against the big names (Freeney, Kearse)...they made him look like exactly what he was...an inexperienced rookie.

Now what really made me dislike Smith was what happened during his second season, he actually REGRESSED. Granted, the team as a whole played piss poor that year, but to see somebody actually get worse in front of your eyes was disheartening. It was embarrassing. Sad thing is, he hasn't improved since then. Now he's just a footnote in Dolphins history.
