Fins re-signed Lydon Murtha for $1.9 mill to fiix RT position and they signed an old, injured QB from the AFC South not named Manning to be their back-up.

That was the splash. See ya in a month at the Draft where they screw it up some more
 
Splashy doesn't win superbowls. Most teams with long term success build through the draft. When is the last time Pittsburg or GB or NE made a big splash. You can argue that NEs splashes have all backfired (hanesworth, ochocinco,etc). GB hasn't signed a FA it 2-3 years. Teams like the Redskins and Jests are making splashes every year and they're not winning championships. I'm not saying Ireland has it all figured out but I'm looking forward to seeing what this team can do with philbins philosophy coming in.

The big splash already happened, we traded our best offensive weapon for a pair of sweet third rounders - think about how many Patrick Turner/John Jerrys we can draft now. On top of that we also got rid of the only safety we have worth ****...I realize it was a cap move, but how does a team with three consecutive losing seasons for the first time since the ****ing 60's have cap trouble??? Oh OH OH I KNOW!!!! PISS POOR MANAGEMENT!!! Ireland needs to go.
 
NE made a huge splash when they forked over a second round pick for WES WELKER. By the way the phins gave him up. CASE CLOSED.

We should have done what the Redskins did, and traded up for RG3. We need a REAL QB. Not another Offensive Tackle. Sorry Jake Long, but I would rather have Matt Ryan...He is upper QB which is much more Value. No more Chad Henne Pat Whites.

The Dolphins have done quite well.

They've added a Pro-bowl QB that replaced Henne. UPGRADE>

They added Hicks and let Columbo go. I would be an upgrade over Columbo. They have Garner and Jerry who are also both upgrades who didn't get much playing time last year. UPGRADE

They added B. Marshall at safety and we desparately needed help there. UPGRADE.

They added a DE threat in Westerman to replace the old, broken and overrated J. Taylor. UPGRADE

They added a stud RB from the Canadian League, Jerome Massam, that might just be Wake part 2. UPGRADE

They replaced fist pump Sparano with Philbin. Anybody would have been an upgrade there. UPGRADE

They avoided the Fisher/Williams fiasco. UPGRADE

Finally, they got rid of Marshall who is probably going to be suspended and got two third round picks in his place. They still need to replace Marshall, but FA and the Draft aren't over yet. BIG DOWNGRADE

I think they've done a good job. No, they didn't land Manning but neither did the 8 or so other teams that tried to land him. So what.

i just done see Westerman being better than jason taylor , jason was getting up there but noway this dude is better =just another body plug .and the rest are as mentioned body plugs.

Doubt it. They have a NEW STADIUM! Something the Dolphins should have done...
Instead they keep patching it up, what is it called this year? Pro Player? Sun Life?
Kind of like the state of the current Team. We still have not replaced Marino...

No joke. Dolphins need a new Owner. New Head Coach. New Quarterback, and finally a New Stadium.
Maybe things will turn around when this happens...
