I mentioned this yesterday in a post, and now Michael Lombardi from National Football Post and NFL network is also saying that Sparano is and has been waiting for the Jets to end their season, so they can get their man. I stated yesterday that they will interview Sutton on Monday, once they get official permission from the Jets FO, as long as they lose to the Chargers.

Don't forget to prowl 'gangrene' and enjoy the Jets bemoaning their shattered wet dreams today.

He might want to interview him, but I doubt that he is the man all along. They would never have offered Butler the job.

I do believe they are waiting for someone. Most likely someone from the Jets organization. I don't think this new hire will come from In House as a few thought. I would like to have the Jets Lb or Secondary coach.

Why on earth would the Jets give Sutton permission to interview with one of their chief rivals?

I read the article on The National Football Post by Mike Lombardi, it ONLY states that Miami is intrigued by the schemes that the NY Jets run, and that Miami could interview Pees, but never mentions that Miami is waiting on Sutton ... it's apparent though, Miami is waiting on someone!!! but not even Lombardi knows... right now all we know is that Lombardi thinks; Pees could get an interview by Miami, and that the team is going to take it's time ...

What is also intriguing is that Lombardi says Miami was never going to hire Groh or Butler so it appears the reports of them "turning the Dolphins down" were not true.

Nubs, i found that very telling; especially, with all the talk of both guys turning down Miami... it' seems like they are waiting on someone!!! we'll find out soon enough ...
While he didn't exactly say Sutton, it gives us just one more reason to root for a Jets loss.
