Without have to sort through all the Rohan Davey posts, can someone tell me how long it takes a player to clear waivers...I'm under the impression it is one day but I'm not sure. If he clears waivers, bringing him in for at least a workout wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

it seems as though Davey is now a FA. Durinf the late offseason, waivers are 24 hours. He would've been claimed by mid-day today, and there are no reports anywhere about him being claimed, so my guess is that he's a FA now

Yeah, that's what I thought, just wasn't sure...thanks

Problem is, when the trimming has begun, you have to trim a spot to add a spot. Something most coaches wont do, unless the player is special, like a Simon. Davey isn't considered a starter, noe is Feeley and Ferrotte, but they have been here, and most coaches wont add Davey, to compete for a starting job now. Maybe as depth. It would have to be a guy like Kurt Warner or equivilant.

In all likelihood, if Davey is signed it will be in midseason for a team that has had some injuries and needs to bring in a guy as a backup.
