Even Chambers is sick of this conservative cr@p!! If they have the tools to go down the field, which is our strongest and only strong point, and we still don't do it, it's cause our incompetent girlie of a coach is holding us down...WHich is what he's been doing for 5 years now.


"I like to go down the field and today [vs. Titans] we weren't able to do that," he said. "The corners just sat on our routes. ... Earlier in the game we could have loosened them up a bit. Give me an opportunity to go down the field and make some plays."

Unfortunately, you need to run the ball in order to get the CB's to stop sitting on routes. You run to pass. Right now, opposing defenses do not respect Miami's run or pass. For the next game or two, yards are going to be earned.
 
couldn't agree more(with first post)

i was at the game, and where i was sitting(sec. 141 row 15 seat 1) all that i heard from everone in my section was the same thing, "throw the frigging ball deep!". we were all yelling it at wanny the entire game.

i know that the fans don't know ANYTHING compared to a professional coach, but how could he continue to stick to a game plan that wasn't working- and hasn't for the best part of several years?

it was sickening, down by ten, to see nothing but runs and short passes.

1st play, last year, vs. Dallas........WHy can't they do that? 1st play from scrimmage, a deep throw to Chambers...Even if we don't complete it, CHambers is going to draw a pass interference. You don't have to do crap(pretend you have a running game) when you can't do crap(dont have a running game).


My sunday's game plan...
1st play: Singleback formation...Deep route to Chambers down the left sideline.
2nd play: Play action to Booker down the right side.
3rd play: (depending on the outcome of the 1st 2 plays) Run to Gordon to the outside

exactly...Let's say that he has to give his gameplan a shot..Fine! But in the 2nd quarter when you see that it's not happening, you go to plan B(which should be plan A right now)!!! Nope..Not Dave. How frustrated were you sitting up there just watching that?! IT's like you just wanna grab Dave by the ears and scream to his face: IT DOESN'T WORK!!!!!!!!!:fire:

i know, i know, but you'd think a guy would learn to adapt, to play to his strengths. i can almost see the case for this type of play-calling with ricky(almost), but we should be playing to our strengths.

look at spurrier. he wanted to try his sytem in the nfl. when he realized he may have to adjust/adapt to the style of the league and his personell he chose not to. the result is that he was unsuccessful.

the problem here is that huizenga(sp?) refuses to punish wanny for this failure to adapt.

I know buddy but it's the same broken record every year with Wanny. Until he's gone this is all we can expect.
 
It's partly Huizenga's fault too. He hasn't been putting enough pressure on Dave to be agressive. He just signs him up for 2 more years....WHat in the WORLD is wrong with Huizenga that he sees any slight reason to give this guy any extension?? He should be a tough owner and tell his @$$...:"Dave, if you don't open it up to be aggressive and start taking some chances I'm gonna have to let you go right now, buddy."We need to score!!!! Not be scared and just run the clock.
