Not sure if this has been covered, but where was this guy!?
Miami needed him big time yesterday.
I admit, I was whaling back some Octoberfests, but I didn't see him anywhere.
Usually he is EVERYWHERE!

He only had 3 tackles and was sucking oxygen on the bench....not like him at all.

Actually there are 3 threads on that exact subject... He was in Denver...

Still on the plane with the rest of the defense. Those were all impostors yesterday.

As much as I think Wake and Vernon were not good, and their lack of pressure was just unacceptable, the fact is the interior of the d-line were just as much (if not more) at fault. 35 rushes for 203 yards will completely nullify any edge pass rush, as the DE's end up playing run first. In the second half our interior line and our LB's were just manhandled in the run game.

Wake and the rest of the defense were buying into the nonsense that they were the best defense in the league and decided all they had to do was step onto the field. They forgot that they actually had to pressure Manning, tackle and cover.

Disappointing performance by the "D" line....no question. Not sure what the issue was, but it appeared we only rushed 3 most of the game and they have 5 lineman blocking 3 guys. I wonder if the scheme was just so bad.......they were simply out muscled up front.

Only hope is that they were embarrassed enough by their pathetic performance and play lights out for the rest of the season. Not getting my hopes up though. They really need a healthy Finnegan back in the starting lineup ASAP.
