Offseason acquisition Cameron Wake, of whom much is hoped and expected, is working with what amounts to the fourth team. It's Porter and Roth, then Taylor and Anderson on second team, then Quentin Moses and Erik Walden with the third group, then Wake and Tearrius George with the fourth group.

It is only a May OTA, but this is a little concerning. I could see him with the second unit, and MAYBE the third unit(at least to start), but the fourth unit? Moses and Walden ahead of Wake to start things off? Not to be a pessimist, but maybe something is up and a reason why Jason Taylor is wearing aqua and orange again.

I remember last yr Sparano saying they liked to move people around to see if they would stand out against their competition....also these are non contact drills. So it's like like we could really see him going full speed.

he has proved nothing as a LB in the NFL.
if he is behind those guys once the pads come on than worry.
My guess is he is still getting used to the things they are asking of him, all this means is he see's 3 NFL LB's doing whatever is asked of him, before he goes on the practice field and does it

This regime doesnt hand rookies (and Wake is essentially a rookie) anything. How long do you think Eric Green lasts as a starter? I see what you're saying Nub, but I would wait and see what happens come July before we jump to conclusions.

Its probably because they came from the CFL like T. George, dont worry he will be starting opposite JPeezy.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I will consider the Wake aquisition as a win if he registers 8 sacks. This ain't the CFL. It's just the first day. I'm sure he'll get lots of work. Thing is when you have Porter and, JT in front of you, not to mention Anderson (Who I think is going to get a long, hard look this off season and, may be sent packing) It's not surprising that he's relegated to a bottom tier unit. I've got hopes for the guy, but, I think the people that are expecting him to be Moses to Pat White's Jesus are going to be in for a rude shock.

At this point it's hard to say. I'm worried too that he may amount to nothing in the NFL, but I also am excited about his potential.

It could mean something is up or it could be nothing more than starting him off at the lowest rung. My biggest fear is that it's discovered that he used some kind of performance-enhancing drug....it still bugs me the way he went from college no-name undrafted dude to freakish athlete up north, and I have fears it's not just about the level of competition being lower in the CFL.

As a philosophy, it is a bad idea to place anyone ahead of others who has not "earned" the spot. Wake has not "earned" a 2nd team spot...hopefully he will.

For players that are getting put behind unproven players, J. Allen, it is not a good sign...

At least we've got Taylor back. Wake's going to have to work his way up..apparently he wasn't as NFL-ready as alot of people assumed.

Wake has never played LB in either college or the CFL. It is a completely new position for him and I could only assume he will be starting at the bottom, while learning a new position, against already established professional linebackers.

However, I hope this comes as a bit of an eye opener to people who are already proclaiming Wake a 10+ sack guy.

Correction: He did play LB for PSU, while also playing DE.

Moses may be sent packing too :shotgun:

Pat White has a plan for your life too brother.

Wake could well be sent packing. I don't think so, though. I think Wake is going to get every opportunity to make the team. I would not worry about where he's running on day 1. I honestly think Anderson will be running with the top end units more than Wake. Just a hunch. The reason being is because I think he's just about done.
