Who here didn't think Philbin/Sherman were inseparable?

Nothing Philbin has done merits him keeping his job. There's nothing about him that says 'irreplaceable'.

Admirable ... now pack your crap and go.

James Walker: Capt. Obvious.

He reads all the **** from the beat guys and runs with it OR takes the ESPN company line (see Bullygate). He does nothing on his own.

For all the Sherman talk, Kevin Coyle should be getting just as much heat. Our defense gave up 1,998 rushing yards, consistenly gave up 1st downs on 3rd and long, Rashad Jones was quite possibly the disappointment of the season, and our LB's did very little.

Sherman and Coyle can both go for all I care as long as they take QB non-coach Zac Taylor with them. That kid has done nothing to deserve an NFL coaching spot....aside from nailing Sherman's daughter.

If Philbin has any problem with any of that then he can go too. It's not like he has done anything special to deserve being retained over any of the rest of them.

Really, the more I think about it, why keep any of them? I don't give a rats hind end if they can get the team ready and beat Belichek's Patriots if we go and play like complete failures like we did to Buffalo (2x) and the Jets with our playoff hopes on the line.

Well philbin needs to go too then. Fuk him. His loyalties are to this clown face, not this team... show his ass the door

if philbin wont fire sherman he needs to go. also, ireland has had enough time to prove to me he cant do the job.

The whole 'stability' thing is overrated, or at least the perception of it is ass-backwards. Good coaches stay, bad coaches are booted. Good coaches earn 'stability' by showing that they're good coaches. The Cowboys made the playoffs in Jimmy Johnson's second year. You think Dallas would've had 'stability' at the coaching dept if Dallas would've went 5-11 in Johnson's second year?

LOL What was he supposed to say? Sherman blows? Oh the guy who calls my plays? He sucks.. Some of you are hilarious.

Philbin standing up for Sherman, at least in public, is the right thing to do. Payers will feel as if he goes to bat for them too. Sherman is gone though. Philbin, if being asked this, will be staying.
