"Morning take: It was not a good debut for Miami's starters. There wasn't much to get excited about. I predicted Miami won't win more than six games this year, and I feel pretty confident in that prediction."
They've got to be more than a six win team right?

If the defense plays like it did last night six wins would be on the high side.

He's just pissy the Jets looked like **** and he cant write 15 straight articles on how awesome Tebow is.

So if we're going to base this on the first pre-season game, the whole AFC east will be under 6 wins...

If we play like this on the third pre-season game he can say this.

It's only one preseason game, but things definitely look bleak in the secondary. It is a transition year in my opinion and I don't think his prediction is that far off. But, if the Dolphins can find that pass rusher opposite Cam Wake, someone good enough that Cam doesn't see double teams, then it's also possible for Miami to contend for a playoff spot.

It's only one pre season game, and I am excited about how good Tanny looked, but as a team we kinda played like **** on the whole. Can't really read too much into this game one way or the other tho.

I know it is way too early to tell but I did not like the look of this new D at all. Did we even sniff the QB? Wake is not big enough to play with his hand on the ground. Anybody see when they cut back from commercial and there was Sean Smith with his hands in the air looking like he was trying to get the crowd pumped up, alomost like a "look at me everyone" gesture... Hey Sean, How about you F**king wrap a guy up once in a while and make some type of attempt at a real tackle????

The D looked exactly like it did the first 5-6 games of last year. They got zero pressure on the QB and the secondary couldnt cover or make any plays on the ball when they were in good coverage ( Jimmy Wilson). The Offense moved the ball well on that first drive until Chad dropped that one pass. The running game looked ok the first drive and went to crap real quick after that. But man did tanny look good. I know its early and it was back ups with vanilla D but he just looked cool and collected and made some real nice throws. With garrard out he needs to show he is better then moore and take that starting job. We might only be a 6-7 win team any ways , might as well start him and if we win 4-5 games im fine with that.

In almost every article Walker has written about Miami this offseason, he always includes "Miami won't win more than six games". In the same thought he thinks the Bills are a 10+ win team and the Jets are a playoff contender. The guy is a clown and a poor writer for ESPN. He gets facts noticeably wrong all the time and seems to turn small things into major problems. He called Olivier Vernon a 2nd round pick, and ranted about how Miami messed up big time by giving Wake an extension. Just two weeks ago he declared that Tannehill was out of the QB race and had no shot to start, now he is talking like Tannehill is going to be the starter.

It is foolish for a member of the media to make regular season conclusions based on the FIRST preseason game, and to be fair, Walker is not the only one to make those crazy conclusions from last night. Armando said Tannehill would need to become a superstar this season because the offense and defense are not good.

i agree. Based on one preseason game no one should make a judgement on a team. Yea, they did not look good in spots but it's only one game. I remember when the Washington Skins went undefeated and scoring 35, 45 points a game with Steve Spurrier as their coach they thought they were going to be world beaters. I think they won 5 games that year. I think they will have a better showing the next game.

So if they looked good last night, he would've changed his baseless and premature prediction?

I'm hesitant to take a guy who retweets himself all the time (Walker) seriously

This coming from a guy who was at the Fins - Bucs game last nite and 5 mins before game time had NO CLUE that David Garrard was injured
