Walker: Hickey received offers to trade down at 19 but wanted to stay to pick James

If we just get pro bowlers at every WR, TE, and RB spot, a great defense, at least 1 return TD per game, two more 1st round picks on OL, a kicker who never misses, the wind blowing just right, a new stadium, good fans, and better material for the uniforms, Tannehill will be a great QB.

LOL, not to get off topic, but I think you just described McCarron at Alabama.

You guys are being a little harsh. Let the season unfold and make your decision.

I just don't get the pleasure some of you find in calling someone all these names and acting this way because they made a decision you don't agree with.

Chill out, it's not in your hands.

Silly guy. That means people would have to reserve judgement for at least 4 months. That's physically impossible on this site.

You mean like Russell Wilson

Yeah, clearly we could have had the same deal that Arizona got from the Saints, thats not even debatable.

Ok so you know what the two offers were that Hickey turned down tonight. What were the offers?

I don't know two offers but I'd bet money that we turned down the saints who zona traded with right after us...

Tell us about the falcons wising up and getting corn for your boy, Matty.

Why does anyone need to be told this? Obviously we had the opportunity to trade down considering two teams directly after us did it. Hickey either didn't know how to answer a phone or was too afraid that he'd miss out on the 5th rated T on his board. Considering no other OL were taken in the 1st, he was ****ing wrong. He played this clumsily. Not a good sign. This is the same incompetent **** we've had to put up with for a long time now.

Can you please point out who is denying there weren't two offers that Hickey turned down?

I believe, and IMO it is no small detail, some here are saying the details of the offers are unknown to us the public in general.

I heard the other offer was from Philly, and that they wanted Clinton-Dix. No 'inside' source. Just a rumor I saw elsewhere on the internet.

Then I would say zona over drafted the guy...frankly

But he wouldn't have been there for the Fins as all the Nostradamuses have claimed. All this BPA stuff is nonsense. You have to fill needs. If the Fins had James rated as a 1st round talent, so be it. IMO, they got a guy who will be a first day starter. Didn't we spend all last season bitching that the BPA that we drafted didn't get on the F'n field?

Its mind boggling.

The teams drafting beyond 20 are good teams so of course they arent drafting cornfed. They are good teams because they are smart and dont use 1st round picks on corn.

I believe SF used 3 first round picks on OL. Seattle drafted a couple couple first round.
