The only reason I brought it up is I ran into his cousin at McDonalds last week. He was wearing a classic Dolphins cap from the 70's so I had to talk to him and compliment him on his cap. When Walt Aikens was drafted out of Liberty he was selected to be CB then switched to Safety by our brilliant coaching staff. Would Vance Joseph put him back to his natural position? He would bring size to the CB position. I believe CB, LB, OG, are the weakest at depth on our team. If Vernon Hargreaves III is there when were on the clock you have to pull the trigger. What do you all think? I know our past coaching staff was very subpar because of Philbin. Gase and Joseph I believe are winners. Now we just have to wait for the season to start.

Armando asked him this

Gase's reply: your sources are terrible

So no, I would expect him to be a safety. Unless he keeps bombing (likely) then maybe we move him to cb

I believe Omar asked him this . . . .Armando commented on it.

Yeah it was Omar who asked him

Gase said to him "your sources are terrible...you're 0-4 already"

Omar is no better than a fan blogger on Bleacher Report now, since he lost his "inside source" with Miko

Maybe the St. Petersburg Times or the Tampa Tribune are looking for a beatwriter

I hope Vance can do work on Aiken like he did with Reggie Nelson who was on a downward spiral with the Jags before coming on with the Bengals.

I think FS is the only position he's suited for in the nfl with those hips. I have little hope of him turning it around ... he's been terrible

imo his tools are best suited for press corner...have to drop some of that weight he put on for safety though...but if that's not gonna happen I'd say he better ball out on specials or it might be curtains on his time in Miami...he handled coverage calls terribly last year at safety

I doubt he breaks our 2 deep there this year...but maybe joseph can get it out of him

Agreed that he'd be best suited as a press CB that receives S help. Doesn't appear to have the awareness or instincts for the S position. Don't have high hopes for him either way, though.

Well, he's not a free safety

I think we know that much lol

Well if he's not a free then he's nothing. Even press corners need to be able to turn and run with receivers. He is a downhill player, point blank
