Hageman looks like a great player and a guy moving up into the first round. I think the DT position could be our area of focus in 2014, depending on what happens with Solial and Starks. Here is a vid clip on Hageman. He moves really well for a big man. Of course we know we have to fix the O-line as well.

Think we resign either Starks or Soliai and put Odrick at the other DT spot. They better spend some picks on some offensive lineman if this team is ever going to go anywhere.

Starks won't want to come back to this team and I don't blame him. He watched lesser players get extensions this season and he gets slapped with the franchise tag. LOL...this team.

I hate that Walter has been mocking us a DT for what seems like years.

They just switched the pick back to Notre Dame DT, Louis Nix, who also should have a nice career in the NFL, even though I think he is out with knee tendinitis. I was perplexed when Starks and Wake were not in the game early on versus Tampa. Sometimes you just wonder who is in charge. :rolleyes2:

I'm fine with either Nix or Hageman, letting Starks or Soliai walk and using FA money on 2 OL.

The one college player player I'm really starting to like is Wisconsin TE Jacob Pedersen. A decent all purpose TE that s/b on the the board in round 4 or 5.

Sounds like an Ireland pick to me. Book it if he is still here by some demon tomfoolery.

I wouldn't be against taking a DT early as in many cases they may be the BPA. I'm also of the impression at least one of Starks/Paul won't be back.

While I really like both Hageman and Nix, if Coyle stays as our DC better picks would be Will Sutton or Timmy Jernigan

There is some talent at DT in this draft and that could be a need, but as things stand right now the Dolphins probably need upgrades at 4/5 of the starting offensive line. Really, besides Pouncey who are the keepers? The team has to go offensive line early and often and it wouldn't surprise me if it went down something like this early on:

1. Antonio Richardson (perhaps Lewan if Miami keeps losing)
2. Gabe Jackson
3. Sentreal Henderson (spelling?)

I agree that our O-Line is a complete mess right now. I just have little trust in Ireland, as the only draft pick from last year's draft who is contributing right now is Sturgis. To me this is the biggest reason why we need a new GM. His drafts have been busts and then he doesn't keep Jake Long or Reggie Bush here, and we have seen how bad our running game has been. Also, as far as the mention of drafting a TE by another poster above, it seems we rarely draft a TE who can help us out. Egnew and Sims are rarely used. Losing Dustin Keller in the preseason took away a nice big target.

Even Pouncey is a question mark due to potential legal issues.

A late first/early 2nd round guy also to look at is Cyril Richardson of Baylor. MONSTER size but really good on his feet

You also have guys like David Yankey and Zack Martin who are worth looks.

That's the one silver lining, the draft is fairly deep at OL

I'll take a combination of those guys in the 1st and 2nd round....I really like what I saw out of Yankey in the Oregon game, plus he has versatility...

i really like him. he is a freak and would love to have him, but we all know they are going ol in the first. we have some good dt, but we also have to see who the gm will be

Cyril Richardson reminds me a bit of Larry Allen. I know the line is more finese, but I'd love to see Miami get some physical players who can move enough. The offensive line has been a problem area for a long time now and that has to be fixed. I doubt that Jeff Ireland returns so maybe that's a silve lining as well. Agree there is some nice talent on the offensive line in this draft.

I seriously doubt that Jeff Ireland will return. I will say I don't know if Ireland or Joe Philibin had the final say in Reggie Bush. I get the impression that Philibin wasn't a big fan of Bush. But, I think Miami should have kept Jake Long. The offensive line looks a lot like 2007 when it was by far the worst unit in the league -- remember Vernon Carey was the starter at LT that year.

Anyway, I still think the Dolphins need a big physical receiver. I see Mike Wallace as a complimentary receiver, but I hate that he doesn't fight for the ball. I'm also not happy in general with the play of the linebackers (I'd love to get CJ Mosely) and we need a better tight end and maybe a corner opposite Grimes. Unfortunately, the need on the offensive line is so severe that the team needs to use this draft to fix it.
