I know a lot of people don't like Walter and Charlie for various reasons, but they are very well connected when it comes to the draft so what they say is probably fairly accurate.

TJ Clemmings kind of figured would fall after he struggled at LT in Mobile.

Surprised to see Landon Collin's name on the stock down, but again, that tends to happen with Bama players.

Phillips is a good choice for stock up especially with some teams flipping to 3-4 and a lot of current 3-4 teams needing young NTs.

As more Hurricanes continue to impress in the draft class I can hear the Cane fans on here seething at Al Golden.

clemmings will still get drafted high...he needs a lot of work on technique etc but that has tyron smith physical abilities and someones gonna draft it that can sit on it and mold it...no way it gets out of the top 50...i think it's still a 1st rounder personally

barely scratched the surface of that kids potential...

I'm thinking Landon Collins has a terrible combine and drops to the second round.

You're too late for that. Dude should have been fired a year ago.

You know who's stock is down? Looked at CBSSports player rankings yesterday and Benardrick McKinney dropped from 26th all the way to 57th...which makes more sense to me. But I suspect he'll kill the combine and show his athleticism and rise up again. I still wouldn't take that guy. I just don't see the instincts.

although if clemmings is only 6 ft 4 that may hurt him as a left tackle...tyron smith is every bit of 6 ft 6...still that's a ton of physical abilities and upside in clemmings in a kid that hasnt played the game long and is basically in training wheels mode right now...2 years from now though he may be LEGIT

he's got nfl pop in his hands and strength...no doubt about that

He came in at 6' 4 5/8" at the senior bowl. Unless he grows an inch between then and the combine he's not reaching 6'6". He did have some very long arms though...34 7/8" long...longer arms than anybody else at the senior bowl with the exception of 6'8" Trenton Brown.

ok well those arms help...for sure...he can play left side with arms like that...the talk about him dropping off the table sounds like bs to me...that's serious talent...top 10 pure talent...if i needed a tackle and had an older vet current starter i would absolutely take him and sit on him...

I'm thinking much higher than that

6045= TJ Clemmings
6050= Tyron Smith

So we're talking a 3 centimeter difference in height.

TJ Clemmings 6045, 307, 34 7/8 A, 10 3/8 H

Tyron Smith 6050, 307, 36 3/8 A, 11 H

Trent Williams 6045, 315, 34 1/4 A, 9 3/8 H

Duane Brown 6041, 315, 34 1/4 A, 10 H

---------- Post added at 10:54 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:53 AM ----------

I don't see Clemminmgs run anything slower than 5.12 in the 40. He's currently my #1 rated LT.

TJ Clemmings 6045, 307, 34 7/8 A, 10 3/8 H

Tyron Smith 6050, 307, 36 3/8 A, 11 H

Trent Williams 6045, 315, 34 1/4 A, 9 3/8 H

Duane Brown 6041, 315, 34 1/4 A, 10 H

so basically you are selling he's going top 20 which i don't have a problem with...he's going high no doubt about it...i think top 10 might be rich considering the rawness and the technique that needs work but the athlete validates it so maybe

How do you guys feel about Marpit, the D3 G that showed at the senior bowl? I read that his performance boosted his stock but he is still only projected in the late 4th or early 5th. I think he's great value and would come in with a huge chip on his shoulder to go with his intensity. Maybe be that diamond in the rough and solve our G problems.

Good fit for our scheme, but much like Turner, will probably need a year to refine his technique. He was an OT in college and went to the senior bowl as a center. So he can play guard in theory. Talent there to work with, but a much bigger project than Billy Turner

i think marpits headed to center in the pros...not sure hes got the pop to play guard...don't think he can carry much more weight either...do think he's a scheme fit

one of the few guys that interested me at the senior bowl...may be maxed out though...in the later day 3 picks i don't have an issue with it although to be active depth for us you have to be able to play more than the pivot
