If we could've squeaked that game against the Texans out.... the division would already be clinched for us.:boohoo:

Well that'd be nice, who wouldn't want the last game in the season agains the JESTS to be our way in?
 
There are a few "ifs" we could really throw out there, but we have to focus on the now. Our fate is in our own hands, and that's exactly where we want it.
 
Actually that is not correct, we still have two division losses which means if we were 11-4 and lost we would have three division losses and the Pats still win the division
 
I've said many times that if we don't get in it'd be thanks to that game at Houston but it is what it is...we need to win and that's that.

Well, we are not an ifs and buts team. If the players were like that we'd be screwed. Every single play has ifs and buts, and if people let that get to them, they're not gonna go anywere.
 
Honestly? yeah I'd love to have 2 games back, but then there is no telling how winning those two games would've effected the rest of our season.

No, I'm quite happy to be where we are RIGHT now, not looking back, not looking forward, but just keeping our eye on sunday, and taking care of unfinished business.
 
When you have control of your future, that is all you can ask, it is time now to see how far we need to go to be a world champion, good teams win these games right
 
Nope. I posted it before. That Texans loss means nothing right now. That game and the Arizona game have no effect at all right now.

Had we won either one of those we would still need either a victory or a NE loss to win the division. In fact, if we lose to the Jets we would likely be sitting at home at 11-5 should NE and Baltimore win. So those 2 games mean NOTHING.

Had we beaten the Jets or the Patriots in the 2nd game, we wouldve already clinched the division. Had we beaten the Ravens, we could clinch the division with a win or a Pats loss, and we wouldve already clinched a wildcard.
 
I thought it was that Baltimore game that slowed down our playoff run. Wouldnt that wildcard spot be up for grabs between N.E. and MIA if we won that game?

Nope. The Texans game even if we had won would have no effect at all on the circumstance we face. In fact, it only means with a loss we would be at home for the playoffs at 11-5 should the Pats and Ravens both win.

The only difference there would be this week if we had beaten the Texans is the Jets would already be eliminated.
