I said it earlier in the week and will continue to harp on this again. People in these forums accepted our 4-1 start as acceptable while not paying attention to our woeful coaching and anemic offensive output.
Mark these words- The Dolphins have an excellent chance of finishing 9-7 or even 8-8. Last year we got career years by Ricky Williams and JT. This year opposing teams are stopping them and they are nowhere near the force they were last year. Fiedler, while playing his best game of the year still is a major liability and can not lead this team to victory if we are playing catch up.
But the one reason we are doomed for mediocrity is our coaching staff. Mare has missed consistently from the dirt infield ALL FREAKING YEAR LONG. In the Texans game he missed, at the end of regulation he missed!!! He has not been focused when making those kicks!! So what does our brilliant head coach do???? He decided on 1ST down that the game is over. Instead of going for one more first down to make it a chip shot, or going for the jugular with a throw in the end zone, Wanny makes the call to seal our fate.
4-1 was a BS start. Our offense SUCKS. Our defense will wear down at the end of the year. This team has no heart, no desire to rise above last years ashes. It starts at the top. Players are not held accountable and the coaching staff mismanages games. The Dolphins of 03 should be symbolized by the losses to the Texans and Patsies. We are lucky to be 4-2 and Wanny better come up with something good or we will miss the playoffs again this year.
