Dolphins | Wannstedt: Ricky Return not Shocking - from www.KFFL.com
Wed, 1 Jun 2005 21:14:00 -0700

Alex Marvez, of the Sun Sentinel, reports former Miami Dolphins head coach Dave Wannstedt said RB Ricky Williams' potential return to the Dolphins will make for great talk radio in South Florida. "Nothing surprises me anymore," Wannstedt said Wednesday, June 1 in a telephone interview. "Just when you've think you've seen and heard it all, something else surfaces. Hopefully, Ricky will deal with things the right way and rebound and have a great career." Wannstedt said "drugs were never an issue" when it came to the Dolphins' research of Williams before trading what became two first-round draft picks to the New Orleans Saints for his services in 2002.

"durrrrr...deep down I know he left because of me. From a coaching standpoint I wasn't a good teacher or role model for the players. I actually introduced him to marijuana"

Classy comments by Wanny. Not really surprising.

Jeez talking to Wannstedt about Ricky Williams is almost like rubbing it in his face. I feel bad for the guy that he's still getting hounded about it. Why can't people just move on and realized that he's not the coach of the Dolphins anymore and they shouldn't bother him with Dolphins questions.

I think the media just loves the opportunity to remind wanny what a crappy coach he was.

I guess it's hard to be surprised when you are totally friggin' clueless in the first place. :shakeno:

You're giving the man far too much credit. We probably would have reached the .500 mark last year if we had been lucky enough to have a crappy coach.

Kingnate, there is something very disturbing about that kid in your siggy. It looks like he just won a lifetime supply of Twinkies or something. Scary stuff.

Just to keep it on topic....who gives a crap about Wanny's opinion?

Wanny & Ricky in the same thread.....this is pure HELL!
