Wanny getting blasted

I was listening to talk radio this a.m and the host was slamming wanny. spoke on how he had all the camps, pre-season and this clown still does not know who to start at qb, interesting. My vote is promote sage to 2nd string and make feely the starter perm. which would leave the qb (I won't say his name) offical clipboard holder.
Okay...I don't think the Keebler Elf should start, but you're crazy if you don't think he's the best back up QB in the league.

Fiedler is the second best, or third, or fourth best, backup only as you know him as a dolphin, only because of that decieving Sept.-Nov. regular season record. Put him on 25 other teams in the NFL where D's don't win 80% of the games, and I promise you that Jay is one of the worst QBs in the the league as a starter, a back-up, and even as a third stinger in most places. Jay owes 80% of his salary to zach, jason, sam, Pat, and Co. all these years..oh and dave's soft-spot for boxes of valentine chocolates, hasen't hurt Jay's career these last 4 years either...

Wow! Last week I was on this board arguing that Fiedler was the worst starter in the League. Now we have people arguing if he is the best back up.

Spector,

I know he has to have them, but I didn't see that one or apparently any of the others.

Smithboy,

I think Ramsey is definitely a contender. I knew names would come out, and that is why I said "possibly".

I agree with making Feeley the perm. starter, but as for Sage being #2, um...no. Fiedler is probably the best #2 in the league IMO.
Bingo!

Why would you want a "true" third stringer as our top back up? Fiedler makes a lot of mistakes but the the guy knows football. IF he stays next year( i highly doubt it), he needs to take a HUGE paycut though. He maybe released and if he doesnt sign with another team im sure we can get him at a cheaper contract.

Feeley needs to be the starter no matter what, pulling him would hurt his learning curve. This is now a true rebuilding team.

If Dave can manage to keep Fiedler in strictly a backup capacity, we'll be in good shape.

Im not bashing you at all, if thats the way you took it, I was in a sense agreeing with you saying thats the one game I remember. Thats all I was trying to say. Collins has not had too many great games.

radio idiots

Its very easy to sit at a desk and talk about how everyone else messes up and how they shuold have done it. Hindsight is 20/20. I'd like to see one of these radio shmucks try to coach an NFL team, much less the Dolphins with the injuries and BS he's had to deal with. Give the guy a break.

Actually in this case hindsight is 80/80 -- multilplied by the number of seasons it took Dave to finally close the book on this plug. Besides I don't think any of those "radio shmucks" -- or chatboard shmucks, or any other kind of shmuck for that matter -- would have been any worse than the moustached shmuck when it comes to assesing QBs over his entire head coaching career.

Regardless, I'll take my lumps with Feeley, who is, essentially a rookie QB. He's got a HUGE upside and I'm excited to watch his growth every week.

CBS put up an interesting stat, Feeley has started something like 13 games since HS........THIRTEEN!! We as fans need to go through the ups and downs with this kid, because IMO, there'll be MANY more ups!

The book is still out on AJ Feeley. I haven't seen enough from him positive or otherwise to get too excited just yet. I feel we missed out on a prime opportunity to get Mark Brunell in the offseason. He would've have been a great fit. A mobile, battle tested quarterback with accuracy. I'm sure Feeley will do adequately enough not to lose games for us. So I'm not giving up on my beloved dolphins....Has anybody noticed how badly Edgerrin James wants to come back home to Miami. He'll be a free agent in the offseason. Maybe that should be our next long-term focus. That's just some food for thought.
