Ok so I live in Virginia and wanna make it to a Home game next yr. I know i can just go buy tickets somewhere but... I have never been to a game and wanna go and have the best time possible. Can anyone tell me the best way to do this? I would like to maybe meet a couple players and get some autographs and do stuff like that. I was guessing being down in Miami for a whole weekend including the friday before. Whelp if someone could help me out or tell me where else i could find out this info that would be great...

Brother man, I am originally from Norfolk, and while reside there again once I come back to the States. Perhaps we can make this trip together. When I was on leave, I was supposed to go to the Colts-Dolphins Monday night game, but couldn't make it.

Let me know, dude!

Let's do it, then. I say wait for the actual schedule to come out, pick a game (Monday night preferably), and then all fans can meet at Richmond International and fly to Florida together. I have a couple of friends at VCU anyhow, so it'll be fun! They're hot, too, so it wouldn't hurt.

Heisman, there are usually a lot of Dolphins fan at a place called Aw Shucks in the Ghent area in Norfolk. Consider coming next year.

Some also watch the game at a place called Red Dog.

Well there's a bit of an issue. The games are not played in the city of Miami proper, but staying close to where the games are played is pretty terrible too. I went to a game a couple of years ago and stayed north of the stadium a few miles.

The cabs sucked terribly and charged around 50 bucks just to get me to the stadium, and if you don't speak spanish that is yet another hurdle to overcome. It's a strange set up. I am planning on going to the pittsburgh game next year and i plan on doing it this way.
Staying at a hotel IN MIAMI.....then at least you will get to check out south beach and all the hotties around there and the ambience will be nice and what you expect. Then we will try and find a shuttle bus or some type of fan bus to hitch a ride with. The cab drivers will stick it to you so try and find some kind of shuttle. dolphinsexpress.com may have something for ya.
good luck

Same here, I moved to texas from Boynton when I was 8 and have been wanting to go to a fin game forever. Where is the best place to buy tickets? I still have fam all over south florida so thats not a problem. Also, how much am I looking at for each ticket? A price range from great tickets, to decent tickets?

What exactly are you looking for? Hotel information, flight information, rental cars, restaurants, nightlife, directions...? I can hook you up with the aforementioned. Shoot me a PM with some specifics.

I've been to about 8-9 Dolphins game. I'd usually leave out of Reagan Airport in D.C. on a Friday, fly into Fort Lauderdale (cheaper and more convenient) and come back on Monday. My area of choice to stay while in FL is either Hollywood or North Miami Beach. Neither locations are that far from the stadium (no more than 30 mins if there's traffic).

Having a rental car obviously is the better thing to do. I always get the cheapest car possible.

I appreciate the info. I was really more interested in the things I Could do while down there like maybe catch a practice or do they have a time where you can meet players. Something along those lines. If there's nothing like that I would probably just go down sat night and leave Monday morning and just catch the game. So anyone know of anything like what I mentioned?

There is a travel agent on the Dolphins home page that will set you up.
Hotel, bus to the stadium, dinner with one of the players, some freebies.
Usually stay at Shula's. I think they are called Travelleaders.
I've been on a few of these trips, and had a great time.
Pool some money and rent a car to go to south beach, It's only about 20 -25 miles.
Only other thing is getting there, but they will help you with that too.
You usually stay at the same place as the players too! lots of autographs!

Stay at the Renaissance in Plantation... That is the official team hotel and the Fins stay there the night before home games.

During the season the practices' are closed. And as far as meeting the players, you have to hang out at the clubs (or golf courses) that they do.
