I've read a lot of threads and posts complaining about all the empty seats when the Dolphins play at home. Many say they would be at the games if they were in Miami but, are Out Of Towners who cannot, and would support the team if they could.

Hare's a solution. The Dolphins have a program for season ticket holders to donate tickets back to the team, for games they will not attend. They are given to charity, and likely kids who have never seen a game who will cheer their little heads off.

I am certain the same can be done with an individual tickets, and that FH can arrange something to come from this forum.

So, how many are in for this to help support the team and fill empty seats?

GREAT idea, I would NEVER bring my 5 year old to an NFL game though...

That's just silly. Give us one good reason...

From what I know in the past, the tickets are given to high schools, who bring the kids to the games. They award kids going to the game on doing well in school, for as much as I know. They are supervised in a group.

Not for kids. Anyone remember when you went to a game as one? Unicorns & rainbows. :)

In any case, this is an option in place of complaining, which I doubt anyone will take. It's easier to complain.

Even as a kid I didn't enjoy seeing my team lose by 19 but it would be nice to go to a game.
What would suck to me as a poor kid is not being abe to afford concessions, jesus the prices

It depends on the game.

It's been my experience that certain teams have more respectful fans than others.

KC fans are great. GB, Minny, and SD are also good fans. (Of course you run the chance of getting obnoxious fans with any of them, but the odds are much lower.)

Division games are a different story. I've brought my older kids to Bills games (7 - 12 yrs old at the time), and my wife and young teenagers to our opener against NE (Obviously they have heard all the words that may come out of a drunk's mouth.) The NE fans were respectful in that one, but I've had issues with NE fans in the past...

Jets games are always with my buddies only, no kids, no women.

What if they give them to some Jets fans? I'm seeing more and more Northerners move down here.........Don't get me wrong, I'm all for helping children no matter who they follow, just stating it may throw a wrench into the Fill up the Stadium plan bro.......

1. Win
2. The Northerners have to stop moving down here
3. 90% of Miami is Cuban who could give a fart about Football

Cubans have adopted football. I would guess that most of your 305 area Dolphins fans are Cuban.

However, Miami is certainly not 90% Cuban. I don't think Cubans are even a majority of the South Florida latin population anymore. Venezuelans, Colombians, lots of others now swelling the city. And unlike Cubans, they actually care about soccer.

Some of my best memories I have as a kid (8 Yrs old) and a Dolphin fan are going to games with my Dad.
