WHY the hell has Ronnie Brown been targeted so few times in the passing game this year. He's a great screen back and if you get him the ball in open space it's a guaranteed 5 + yards. Remember the pass he caught to hurdle over that Bills DB when we had to win in 2005? Remember all those screens he got over 20 yards on a couple seasons ago.

Ronnie may not be a WR but he has some of the surest hands on the team. With all the liability that our WRs seem to present why not chuck it to Ronnie about five times a game? What happened to that....

Good point. I forgot how good he was in the passing game, he has better hands than most of our receivers.

Ricky too...

Sorry, I think Ricky has more accelaration than Ronnie but Ricky has ALWAYS had issues securing a catch. Did you watch the game last week? He dropped a pass that was right in his mits because he was looking upfield before he secured the catch. Ricky is awesome but he doesn't catch and run like Ronnie. Give Ronnie some chances in the passing game he produces more than any of our backs and TEs in the pass game.

And watch the Jets game and you can see Ronnie drop and easy pass, and while you are at it, you can watch ricky's screen pass.

Ronnie had almost 400 yards receiving over the first 6 and a half games of 2007. That is a very good pace for a power back receiving. It's about a 1000 yard pace receiving.

he is good at catching out of the backfield. Ronnie has excellent hands, and that's one of the reasons why you see him as the trigger man in the wildcat.

Ricky dropped a very easy pass at the end of the saints game... Happens to the best pass catching backs once in awhile.

And do you remember that easy catch that Penny threw off the wildcat to Ricky in the last jets game last year ? That was an easy touchdown he dropped that landed right in his chest.. He has drops too.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I've been watching Ricky play since he came to Miami in 02 and pass catching and pass blocking are his biggest weakpoints. He's gotten better at pass protectin over the last couple season but he still doesn't secure a catch and run like Ronnie does. Not knocking on him bc I love Ricky but I see it how it is.
