Ward uncertain about week 1 status

Well we already know they can't run on us so now they can't pass as well. It seems we will be winning quite easily come opening week if Ward sits out.

Well, its not going to be easy at all, but we have a pretty good shot, cant wait till the regular season starts!
 
:( I want them 100%! No excuses! I work with to many arrogant Steeler fans for them to have any excuses.

It will be because they won't be able to score and we will be able to score because Daunte is going to throw for one and rush for 2 with 200 yards rushing. :sidelol:
 
I tell you what, anything that makes winning the game easier, I'll take.

a W is a W.....no doubt...we need as many as we can get.

Normally I prefer to play (and beat) a team that is full strength, but I think this gives us a good chance to win a previously unlikely-to-win game. Since it is the first game, I think a win can go a long way to setting the tone and confidence level for the rest of the season, which will be important.

Hopefully when we meet them in the playoffs, he is healthy and we beat them again. :wink:
 
Hamstrings are very particular. For him, he has to take it slowly or else it will bother him for a long time. So, I can definitely see him missing the game. If he does, I think that will definitely hurt the Steelers chances 'cause that would mean that compared to last year, they would be without Ward, Randle El and Bettis on offense. Those three were very big contributors for them last year.
 
This sucks. Like the other poster, it would suck to beat them when they are not at 100%.

I guess we will have to get use to that cause we will probably hear that about the pats also.
 
I understand why some of you guys want them at 100%, but would you rather win when they are hurt, or lose when they are 100%? I don't care who is on the field, as long as we win.

WTF kinda logic is that? Of course any fan wants to win ALL the time. But I'd rather come out and beat the Super Bowl Champs at 100%. How are we gonna know how good we are or if our team is elite if the opposing team is missing key players? I want them to come out and make a statement.
